cvid/possible window period past 6 months?

hey guys ive seen similar questions about this posted before but they all seem to be paranoid people with no risks situations.
 In august 2010 I had unprotected sex with a girl of unknown status. Exactly 1 month later I came down with a mild fever and some pretty serious night sweats for about 5-7 days. The entire time I was extremely worried about my stupid decision to have unprotected sex. For the next few months I began getting recurring infections such as MRSA and athletes foot. This lead to my doctor running a series of test, including HIV. This was at the 6 months mark of my possible exposure. All tests came back negative and normal except my immunoglobulin levels appeared to be low/low normal. My igg was 700 and my igm was low at 43. After reading a couple different articles about extremely late seroconversion due to CVID I am obviously extremely worried. I am wondering if anyone had any experience with this type of thing and could help determine if i should take another antibody test. I know several people constantly state that no matter what everyone will develop antibodies by 6 months but that is simply not the case. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much guys.

Wow, I hope you are getting treated with routine infusions for CVID. I hear that can be a quite difficult situation.

However, your test results at three months would have been reliable. You have tested out to six months, so you're absolutely not HIV positive.

I don't have to give you the whole "use a condom" speech - Just enjoy and protect your negative HIV status, and best of luck conquering CVID.

You know, if you're a sexually active adult, you should be getting a full sexual health check up at least once a year as a matter of routine. Think of it like having regular, routine dental check ups - you might floss and brush regularly and you might not have a toothache, but you go anyway. Same thing where your sexual health is concerned.

I agree with Jonathan that you are conclusively hiv negative but if your CVID is causing you to have lingering doubts, go test again and collect another negative result. I'm sure that's what you'll get. It would be worth it for your peace of mind so you can stop living with this festering away in the back of your mind.
