Jan, that is adorable. I tried to give Jenna (my pooch) a little outfit once but she promptly ate it. and every sock I've ever owned. and my watch (well, she just buried it and cracked the crystal really). and a $90 diesel shirt I hadn't even worn yet. and my Math 30 workbook 2 weeks before the final. and my entire travel journal that documented my year in australia. and my graphing calculator. and my dinner. 6 times.

somehow she gets away with it though, one perked ear cock eyed gaze that says "Excuse me? you are accusing me of THAT? I am offended you would call my character into such distasteful question" and I can't stay mad.

:D@ Atomic...it always amazes me what we let them get away with...I always tell Annie not to look at me when I'm trying to tell her off..those eyes will get me everytime.

That's her cushion, she keeps it under my bed, she brings it out every morning and puts it away every night..she only sleeps on it during the day, it's fun watching her get it so it's just right for her and she feels comfy with it..and that can sometimes take a few minutes to do....:D

Atomic, I'll trade you for one that eats carpet to get at the padding, shreads paper and pictures all over the floor and gets mad at you and shits on the floor. She gives me another reason not to like girls.  :D

Rod, oh she sure does punish me when I ignore her. A couple years ago I was taking summer classes and working from 5:45am-12 every day at the same time and after school I came home and had no interest in playing. She nuzzled, I growled. All she did was make an annoyed sounding huff and sauntered off to the stairs and slowly went into the basement (where she never EVER goes). After a few minutes it occurred to me that she had no business in the basement so I snuck down behind her and caught her in my room, on my bed with her head in my backpack dragging out my economics binder. Had I not caught her in the act, I'm sure it would have wound turned into confetti shortly thereafter.

My first dog, who was a boy, never did anything like that!

For the record:  I've noticed an influx of cuteness round here lately.  They must travel in herds.

Here's a picture of me and the Kids all vegging out together. Baby Elmo is, as usual, in her proper place laying on top of me. No one else is allowed to do so. Waldo is as usual, being very good, and laying down on the floor, and little Rindy is the sleeping dragon beween my legs. I wouldn't mind a few more, but Norm, who is VERY patient, would have a cow. Dogs are the best, and I cannot imagine how much less enjoyable my life would be without them. I have them with me always, and my neighbor refers to them as my "appendages"

Aw, heck.  I'm throwing one on the boards, too.  Below is an old photo of my beloved beagle/bassett mix, Colonel.  He was also known as 'Pupples' (because puppy+cuddles=pupples...yes, it was that bad).  He had a little beagle head and a big bassett ass...kinda raggamuffin, but perfect in my eyes.  I called him my 'extended cab beagle'.  Sorry if the pic quality doesn't work out well.  It was the only one I have on this computer.  It is from his Official 6th Birthday Party...as best we knew since he was adopted from a rescue.  He is not with me anymore, but I think of him each and every single day and always will.

Pupples forever.

Well, the cake was actually baked for the human guest (due to the chocolate).  Pupples, er...Colonel got the steak that you can see peeking out from behind him.  That was all his...and barely made it to the floor before being gulped nearly whole.  I swear his eyes were dilated from joy...he looked like he was rolling on ecstacy!  LOL    But, yes...it was still baked in his honor.  We even had party hats for the occasion.  I have a pic of him wearing one somewhere.  God, that wonderful, wonderful little dog.  I fell with a dull thud from day one.
