Possible risk, possible symptoms, definite loss of mind. No where to turn.

One month ago I (and I'm sure this old song and dance gets repetitive) got way to drunk and went home with my ex boyfriend (we are both gay and in our early 20's).  I don't know his HIV status but I also don't know anything about what he's been doing in the 3 years since we broke up.

I gave him oral sex without protection. He then propped me up in a manner that he could push the head of his penis against my anus which by itself concerns me since he pre cums a great deal. I told him "no" and resumed giving him oral sex which resulted in him ejaculating in my mouth. I don't remember the event too well but I don't believe I had any cuts or sores in my mouth. I do occasionally get ulcers in my mouth and know I had one the next day but am unsure if it was present at the time of exposure.

Between 2-3 days later I developed a cough and sore throat.

4 days later I had swollen lymph nodes with white spots on my tonsils. Doctor told me it was tonsillitis and prescribed antibiotics. No fever and no strep. 

5th day, tonsil swelling and white spots disappear upon beginning medication.

6th day, high fever and night sweats.

Have not had any notable symptoms from day 7 forward except some diarrhea while on antibiotics although I assume that is common.

It has been almost 5 weeks and I'm still losing sleep. Should I be this concerned? I plan to take the oraquick home test at 6 weeks. Is that even necessary and if it is negative should I just tell myself to forget it and quit worrying? Please help me for some peace of mind.

You have to have unprotected penetration for there to be an exposure. Pressing one's penis on your anus is not a risk. Oral sex is not a risk of HIV transmission.

So even if I had an ulcer on my gum line and his semen came in direct contact with that sore there is still almost no chance?  Should I even spend the $40 on the oraquick test next week or am I just being over dramatic and gullible to all the mixed messages on the internet? Would oraquick at 6 weeks at least be pretty conclusive given the scenario and timeline if I do do it?

I agree with Rod , you did not have a risk for HIV and do not need to test over this specific incident  .

However , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Early this morning, around 5:00am (it has been 10 hours since exposure), I was having anal sex with another man.  I had never met him before, I was drunk, and it was stupid.  We did, however, have the sense to use a condom.  He began thrusting very aggressively and then stopped suddenly when he felt that the condom broke.  I don't know if actually broke or where on the condom it broke.  I don't know if he was precumming.  He definitely did not ejaculate.  I definitely had some bleeding in my rectum.  I can't breath.  Please help me.  What should I do?  In general?  Not just worried about HIV but everything and what I need to be doing right now today and in the future.

You had a risk and can test at 6 weeks past any possible exposure and again at 3 months to confirm the results .  Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.
