Life insurance
« on: April 26, 2023, 06:07:58 pm »
Hi, I hope all is well with everyone and I want to thank everyone on here for helping me be strong when I had nobody 💗.  I've learned alot and still learning.

Today I learned that my parents life insurance application for me got denied due to my prescription history. My parents don't know that I'm positive. I've kept my treatment and status to myself for the most part. I've been undetectable since April of last year. My last results on February 10 2023 were <40 copies/mL. My mom is so confused about why I got denied but my siblings didn't. I told her that I didn't want her to call them asking why i was denied because I feel it's intrusive. I don't know what to do at the moment. I'm not mad at my mom or the insurance company because they are just doing their jobs. I'm just scared because she doesn't know my status or my sexuality. She's going through her own health issues I didn't want her worrying about me. Has anyone else been through something  similar? What life insurance can I get?

I was wondering if we could get life insurance.
As for the not telling, I understand.  I came out to my parents but I never told them I was positive.  I haven't even told my siblings.
Other than you folks here, I don't really talk about it to anyone.  I tried looking for a support group here in Dallas area but those don't seem to exist anymore.  I'm guessing since the meds take fairly good care of it.
The few people I did ever told were also positive but once I said I was too, they stopped talking to me.  (I was living in SF at the time.)  I guess my expectations were off.  Now I just come here to chat.  The thought of telling anyone just doesn't happen.

Well yesterday I did some Google research and we can get Life insurance but some companies will find ways to get our medical records. That kinda sucks because I didn't have an answer for my mom when she was asking me about my prescription history. I just told her I didn't want to deal with the company she was dealing with anymore. I felt it was intrusive. I love my family but I don't think they'll understand my situation.

Hugs Bubba back❣️
