I don't know which area to post this in so it may be moved.
I an including two links.
One link, possibly posted here before, was the original New York Times report in 1981 about the rare cancer found in 41 Gay men. I had never read the original article before so this was fascinating read for me.

http://www.nytimes.com/1981/07/03/us/rare-cancer-seen-in-41-homosexuals.html

More important, the link(s) below addressing the history past present future of the disease and treatment. Again, possibly posted before, but still worth the posting.

http://www.avert.org/history-hiv-aids-us.htm

This is stuff anyone could google and find on their own.

Three links listed at the end of the above linked article provides more interesting info.

Would be nice, more than nice, to one day include a section to the history where a cure has been found.

Sobering the 1981 article. !981 I spent the Summer in mainland Europe and North Africa.

Paris>Seville>Marrakesh>Vienna>Budapest> , travelling by train . For the first time travelling with enough money to have a bunk in a 6  person compartment for some off the longer bits. Nearly ended up in hospital in Marrakesh walking home one evening and suddenly plummeting down a drain hole that had "lost" any surrounding protection it might off had.

Oh dear better lay down having memory overload.
