This morning, about 200 miles out in the gulf from Tampa, we had a 6.0 quake. I was in church at the time and felt it... but dismissed it as I live in Florida now, not California.
Anyway, it was on the news this evening that it was in fact a quake and I wasn't going crazy (for once). :P

watch out for a tsunami...don't they happen after an earthquake in the ocean???

The weather guy said that it could happen, but not too lucky.

Must have been caused from all those greedy oil company's digging all those holes in the Gulf !! :o We were at lunch today, and I heard someone mentioning something going on 200 miles off the coast, but I had no idea what they were talking about.

The real funny part of this story is... I have not set foot in a church in 23 years. A new one opened up Sunday, very contemporary and nondenominational so I decided to give it a try.
All my drinking buddies were making jokes about lightening strikes and my head spinning around with green vomit.
BTW, I had the best experience I have ever had at church and plan to go back to it... The preacher is about 26, the members of the band (NOT choir) are a bunch of hotties, too! LOL
My mother asked me if my gaydar went off there and I told her that I was there for God, not to hookup. LOL

Good for you Patrick! You're named after a saint after all teehee. Really, all jokes aside, it's perfectly wholesome to enjoy the sheer presence of attractive people (same sex or opposite, doesn't matter!) ... My pastor is tall and cute too. if "genuine" needed to be personified, he'd be a great candidate

last Febuary... Let's hope it not a "rattle" of things to come... Personally I didn't feel it but
I know others who did......and some are kind of spook by it. Like Hurricanes weren't enough...

I lived in California before... quakes around here I'm not worried about.
It's a real informal laid back church, so I just wore low platform shoes. ;D
