Weho Halloween
« on: November 02, 2009, 04:04:10 am »
Here was my costume for Halloween this year. I'm a dark elf, or Drow, as all you fantasy and D&D geeks will recognize. The costume was a hit and my friend Alex and I actually got on the TV news. Since Halloween was on a Saturday night this year there were HORDES of people. Here are just some of the costumes: http://www.flickr.com/photos/36088371@N00/sets/72157622591206087/

That costume is awesome.  How long did it take to get like that?

I put together most of the components of the costume before I got to Los Angeles. I'm not great at sewing so a friend helped me out with some of the alterations. The makeup took a couple of hours. I didn't want to look like I was just covered in black paint so I used blue, silver and black makeup to get the desired effect. Getting so much grease makeup off is a pain and I bathed in Formula 409.
