Traveling questions...

OK, I admit I am numerically dense.  I am wondering if yall could help...

I am traveling to London from the US (midwest) this week, what do I do about my once daily, before bed, beauty treatment?

Oh and also Atripla?  (Time change stuff.)

Anyone in London want to meet over the weekend PM me.  I will be holed up in a over priced, crappy hotel preparing a couple talks, but would like to get out a bit!

I don't understand exactly what you're asking.  Are you asking how changing time zones affects your dosing of HIV medications?  If that's the question then the answer is that it need not change anything.  If you dose twice a day you just keep it on the same schedule from the place you departed from.  You're taking things 12 hours apart.  Travel alters nothing except in your mind, though it might make it more confusing if you are used to dosing at a set time like breakfast, etc. because the hour will be shifted by five hours for London (actually I think it's only 4 hours right now until they shift to daylight time).  If I go overseas for longer than 5 days I will gradually, by an hour or so each day, gradually shift my doses but less than that what's the point?  You'll be back home.

Don't forget to take your prescription with you. If, God forbids, you lose your meds, there are pharmacies in London that will take your american prescription to refill. You may want to call the embassy for the locations. Also if you need stuff that is not on prescription, the names may be different, so it's still a good idea to go to a pharmacy that has knowledge of american brands.

If you go to Paris for a quick trip, the pharmacy that will take american prescriptions and understand american brands and their french equivalent is located on the Champs-Elysees 84 avenue des Champs-Elysées open 24h.

My advice would be to take the medication around the same time you take them in the US.  London is 8 hours ahead of us.....if you are accustomed to taking your meds in the evening, say around 10ish, you may want to take the meds at 6am in the morning London time.....you can wake up, pop the pills and go back to sleep for another couple of hours.  Other than that, have a blast while you are in London.
