Traveler needs advice about where Asia to buy CHEAP reliable meds (generics ok)

 I am surprised that after googling this subject,I do not see much info (or at least details) about specifically where--- (names of reliable clinics,pharmacies,hospitals and in what countries they are located) for buying HIV meds. I am retired (58) but pretty low income and always have been approved by ADAP (why everybody can not be approved amazes me...but thats another subject). I am currently taking Truvada and Isentress and tolerate it well and if there are generics on those in Asian countries that would be great....but not essential. I have had undetectable CD4 counts for about 2 years. I tolerate various other meds well and fortunately have not experienced side effects on meds such as lisinopril (H.B. pressure). Naturally,after starting new meds I will be monitored every 3 months to see if there are changes in loads and if I was wrong about side effects I will know before anyone else,of course!
I can only afford the mostly third world countries and I prefer ONLY Asia. I plan on spending about 2 years in Vietnam,Thailand,Philippines,India,etc.,etc. With new procedures at ADAP I will be dropped from them after 3 months in "my state" and will need to go back on a waiting list when I return. I am making this travelling decision so do not waste your time saying "don't go"...falls on deaf ears.

 So again,I would appreciate NAMES--- names of countries WITH names of clinics or names of pharmacies or names of hospitals BUT MOST OF ALL>>> HOW MUCH YOU OR A FRIEND PAID FOR WHAT AND WHERE. Sorry,it just gets so frustrating to read general comments such as "try Thailand,etc."  But your specific info is so helpful so appreciated and can keep me going strong!

In India, generic HIV drugs are available (on prescription) at the larger private pharmacies/chemists in all the large cities. You could purchase them in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Calcutta, Pune, Hyderabad etc. 

- Viraday (once a day pill) is manufactured by CIPLA in India and is currently available, on prescription, at a cost of Rs. 3100 (approximately) ($61) a month.

- Vonavir manufactured by Pune based Emcure Pharmaceuticals is available at Rs. 2500/- ($49) a month. (Vonavir has the same components as Viraday, I think).

You cannot combine (merge) threads yourself, only admin and mods can do that.

If you have a thread going and you feel it's been forgotten about because it's drifted down the main index page due to a lack of response, all you have to do is to open the thread and respond to it yourself. The new response will bring it back up to the top of the page.

If you have nothing new to say, you can just write "bump" and hit send. When you see a post in an internet forum that just says "bump", it means someone wanted the thread to appear back up at the top of the page.

If what's confusing you is how to respond to a thread - all you have to do is look at the bottom of the thread and click on the "reply" button.

Alternatively, you can open the Quick Reply button a little further down the page, past the last post. It will open a reply box without having to reload the entire page.
