« on: April 18, 2007, 12:24:32 am »
I have my share of problems like everyone else.  But today Im just so pissed off....its the little things that sometimes push me over the top.  I know its petty shit and I should just not give it a second thought...but still...I get aggravated.

They say dont sweat the small stuff...anyone got the secret to put that into practice?

There's a guy by the name of Richard Carlson who wrote several books on the subject of "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" that you may find helpful - I did. Amazon carry them.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

This will put you in place every time.

Go volunteer your time at a pediatric cancer ward or a burn unit.  You'll realize YOU dont have problems in your life.
LIFE is not a race to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in a pretty and well-preserved body, but, rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--WOW! WHAT A
RIDE!!!

Jeff....

I dare say we all have our days....no matter what our situation.  Make sure you're getting plenty of rest
and relaxation....and don't be afraid to VENT.  That's why we're here.  People who try and keep it inside usually
explode at some point and its usually not pretty.  Personally when I get upset these days, I clicked my heels together
three times and repeat three times, "THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME...." (Just kiddin of course)

Sending you a [[[[[[BIG HUG]]]]]

I know exactly how you feel. I have been going through that for the past few weeks down at the courthouse. All the little things just built up and I literally broke down in tears from frustration. When this happens with me, I tend to step back and take a breather then continue on with my business. I have made "What doesn't kill me, only makes me stronger" as my new personal mantra when it comes to dealing with the little things....I wish I could tell you it gets better but sometimes it just doesn't.
