I have been in awe of him since I met him at age 21 . His modesty is also part of his charm , once when I brought up what he has done for people he just shrugs it off and said " what else can you do" and changed the subject .

In my language, there are a number of words for 'friend' and 'friendship'. An old one which I particularly like may be translated as "One who will journey with you"; or "Fellow-traveller". Your friend's compassion and care for others will surely travel with him and be the hallmark of his profound humanity. May he ever find the love he has not failed to give.

Yup  gay  Dr   was the  first one to treat me  when got sick with PCP...back in 1994..been with him ever since..he has moved around the  city 4  times   to different offices  and clinics (  once  was  an hours  drive )  but he is great  and understanding and a researcher so always has the latest  updates on what is  coming along   ...he  almost "retired"  once  but couldnt stand the "inactvity"  so was back ina few months.....  hope he keeps it up....   he has  referred me to specialists several times  dermatologist(  gay, Iranian guy)  neruologist, (gay young Jewish guy) colorectal guy  (  very  straight  but fun guy)  Nephrologist, (  married  Indian couple)

so I assume he thinks  that just the  good ones  gay or  straight should be reccomended  ...

My first HIV doctor was gay and poz, though I was a bit put off when he told me to go on Atripla because it's only one pill and I could take it before I go out and... "party."

My second doctor is gay and poz also. Was more into meditation, yoga and such which made me happy - although my good friend knows of him and he has a reputation of some sort which my friend does not want to tell me about. So far he's been a good doctor.
