Happy Thanksgiving fellow forum members!

As always, I'm thankful for ... still being alive after 33 yrs (Nov 20) of HIV and all those years living (well, barely living) with AIDS. And I'm thankful for the ARVs I'm been on for just over a year - since they are the first HIV meds, in 25 yrs, that don't make me puke.

This year, I'm also thankful for ... being married a whole year (Nov 26) to a great guy! And I'm thankful for our dog Xena (border collie/spaniel mix), who came into my life just as I lost the last of my cocker spaniels, and has been my best buddy - even if she tries to "herd" me every time I pull out the mower, rake, or weed-eater.

I'm thankful my thoughtful husband took me on a quick trip back to OH last month, after being away for almost a decade. Not only did I get to see my friends and my old homes; but I got a chance to see my old doctor to thank him for helping keep me alive all those years.

For the many people in my life who I love and care about... and to have so many who love and care about me.
For the warm and loving place I call home.
For good health.
For modern science,  Mother Earth, and spell check  ;D

...For the Coca-Cola
can I add these to my list too? :)
I do too much word processing to not love spell check. And here's an extra shout-out of thankfulness for my phone's corrective txt.   :-*

and Coke. need I say more? I have been drinking over 2-liters of Coke a day nearly every day for the last 35 years and give it equal credit as my ARVs for keeping me alive all these years.

  • Life is what you make it, so make it good
I am thankful to God because in the time that I was alone, he was there carrying me, I'm thankful to the meds, because without them I would be dead, I am thankful for so many people that walked in my life and took the time to say something nice that stopped me from going off the deep end, and I'm thankful to my kids in my life, I'm thankful to my job, but most of all I am thankful for life.

I am thankful for the crew, my wife and 3 daughters.
I despise the song Love is in the Air, you should too.
