Hiv Risk Assessment?

Hi there, nice to meet you I'm new to this forum and just have a quick question.

I recently hooked up with a guy I met on a night out. We've met twice so far. The first time I gave him a blowjob and swallowed his cum, but we didn't have any penetrative sex. The second time, we planned for me to bottom... Now, I've always been a top and never bottomed before so I was a bit nervous and wanted be as cautious as possible. So I went out and bought condoms, lube & Prep. I took the 2-1-1 event based prep according to the correct schedule. He topped me 5 times in one night and I had one of the best sex nights of my life. We used condoms & lube and obviously I was on the Prep. I checked each condom prior to disposal and can confirm that none of them broke or tore.

However, I'm slightly anxious because prior to him penetrating me each time, we engaged in a bit of frottage and he rubbed his penis in my ass. My 'area' was understandably quite sore because it was my first time bottoming, and I'm a bit concerned that some precum may have come into contact with an open wound of some sort, as I did have a few blood spots when I wiped the lube away afterwards. Is this an HIV Risk at all?

I've read countless threads on here about the extremely low threat posed by oral sex, so I won't even bother dwelling on that. However, if I did catch the infection... Do I need to wait longer before testing due to the Prep medication I took?

I'm normally very safe, and responsible - but in this case I feel a bit silly because I spoke to the guy after we slept together (the second time) and enquired about his safe sex practises. He told me he's had many unprotected encounters with women... Which hardly puts the mind at ease!

I will get a full screening sorted in the coming weeks.

Irrelevant. Nothing he claims means anything, and it doesn't change what activities are or are not an HIV risk.

You used condoms and PrEP to reduce your HIV risk. HIV can't be acquired through an intact condom during intercourse, and the blowjob was a minute HIV risk that doesn't warrant testing outside of standard yealry routine.

Frottage and rubbing aren't an HIV risk. Condomless penetration would be, it's unclear of there was condomless penetration from your post?

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Contuine to use PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms, and the only way of knowing is by testing.

If during the frottage it went further, resulting in condomless intercourse (penetration), then test to confirm your HIV status six weeks after your last PrEP dose with a blood-drawn (lab) HIV antibody test. A non-reactive result at that time would rarely ever change. Retesting at three months is generally not needed.

Although, I don't see the need for this testing as you were taking PrEP, which would offer a level of protection that there should be no reason for stressing about HIV from this. If you take PrEP regularly, get tested for HIV & STIs every 3 months if possible.

If there was no condomless intercourse (penetration), then move on with your life, continue to use condoms for any intercourse and test out of standard routine yearly for HIV & STIs.

Thanks Jim that has put my mind at ease. I definitely didn't get penetrated during the frottage because I would have known about it.... Who knew bottoming was so painful lol. I'll just do my routine test in 8 weeks as per.
