I've read all the other posts about if you use a condom "Correctly" you should be ok....but I can't help but just about freaking out...

I had sex at a massage parlor now 8 days ago.   We used a condom but before that she put baby oil on my penis and started to stimulate me with her hand ( I should have stopped there ).   She then put a condom on me and gave me oral sex until I was fully erect.   We then had sex for couple of minutes which I then pulled out and ejaculated in the condom.

Based on what I've read I know I should be ok but I'm still very nervous and stressed.   Since the incident I feel like I'm getting flu like symptoms like a very very very mild soar throat,  dry mouth,  and mild headaches ( very very mild ).   I feel light headed but not sure if it's due the amazing stress I feel or related to something else.

Everyone that I've spoken to asks me if the condom broke....from what I could tell it didn't.   I didn't' take it off and put water in it to verify  it wasn't  broke but I also didn't  see my penis exposed.

Couple of questions and comments:
Question:  Does using an oll based lubricant like baby oil put me at risk ?
Question:  Is there anything that I can do but wait and hope ?
Question:  Is there any early test that I can take to validate I'm ok ?
Comment: I think this forum is great and you are doing a great service.  I fully appreciate what you and the other folks are doing...

Sorry to ramble.   I'm just really scared.

If the condom broke you would have known it , they are designed to catastrophically break so that there is no doubt . Putting water in a condom after or before sex is a good way to burst a condom or weaken it , when that happens you then think you had a bad condom and get all upset , so don't do it . You did NOT have a risk for HIV .

You are correct that baby oil isn't a good lube for condoms , you need a water based lube that is approved for condoms . This doesn't mean you were at risk in this particular incident because the condom didn't break you are OK .   Check out the link on condoms and lube at the bottom of my post .

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care checkup, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine checkups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

Jeff - THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING SO QUICKLY.   One other question.  I hear about all these non-latex condoms on the market.   Do those also offer the same protection at latex ?
