Thank you in advance for answering my question. About one year ago, I have had a protected viginal sex with a CSW. After that I am in deep HIV phobia and have done too many tests. The test results are negative. Due to the phobia, I then turned to massage rather than commercial sex to relieve my sex tension. I have had too many massage sessions. Now I have the following concern.
My question may sound very paranoia. May I know whether I am in risk of HIV if some positive man put his semen in shower cream in massage parlor. After a few hours (>2 hours), I used the shower cream to have a bath including my penis area. May I know whether I am in risk of HIv? Assume someone really did this (putting his semen into the shower cream bottle). I am afraid that some man may get excited after massage and get the idea of ejaculating his semen into the bottle of the shower cream in the massage palor. I know that HIV in semen may die soon after the semen dries or expose to air. But semen in shower cream bottle may not dry and expose to air. whether the fact that I applied the cream to my penile area during the shower putting me at risk? Dear Ann and Jeff, what are your professional opinions and what are the rationals behind that?

You need not worry bout semen in shower cream . HIV is a fragile virus that cant live for more than seconds after leaving the confine of the human body , in fact its so fragile that its even difficult for researchers to keep samples alive in the laboratory . Shower cream is much too hostile an environment for HIV to thrive in .
As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

Dear Jeff. Thank you very much for answering my previous question. I have a new question. Can you help me to access my HIV risk for the following situation?
A few weeks ago, I was cut by the hairstylist when I was having a haircut in a barber shop. The cut was not very deep. but my skin was broken. I was not sure whether the hairstylist had disinfected the electronic clipper or not. If the prvious customer (suppose he/she HIV+) was cut also by the same clipper, am I in risk of HIV as I was cut by the clipper only a few min later (if <5 min) ? Have you read any document case which is transmitted this way?

Its the same answer as I gave you before , you do not have to worry about getting HIV unless you have unprotected vaginal or anal sex or share drug injection equipment with somebody already infected .

Dear Ann. Can you help me to analyze whether I am in risk of HIV in the following situation? Two weeks ago, I went to a clinic to have a oral quick HIV test. Before the test, the staff doing the test for me first cleaned up many test strips done for finger prick test without waring gloves. She did not ware any gloves and then took out the oral test kit. If she has contacted the blood on those test strips and transferred to the handle of my oral test kit, I then used it to take oral fluid. My lips may have contacted the handle of oral test kit. Ｉ also had some blisters below my lips outside. If the small amount of blood has contacted my lips and come into my mouth, am I in risk of HIV? I am a bit stress over this.
In addition, are sore throat and stomach pain (a lit nausea) ARS symptoms? After two weeks of incident, I got these two symptoms but no fever so far. thank you so much for your reply.

You didn't have a risk for HIV in the situation you describe .
Use condoms for vaginal and anal sex consistently and correctly and you will avoid HIV HIV is a fragile virus that cant live for more than seconds after leaving the confine of the human body and poses no risk in the situation you are concerned with .

Hiv is NOT easy to transmit and it has NEVER been transmitted in ANY of the ways you've been worrying about.
In adults, hiv IS transmitted through:
Unprotected anal intercourse.
Unprotected vaginal intercourse.
Sharing drug injecting needles IMMEDIATELY, IMMEDIATELY after an hiv positive person.
Nothing you're worrying about even comes close to being a risk for hiv infection.
I suggest you seek out the services of a mental health professional so you can learn how to deal with your way over-the-top hiv phobia. We absolutely cannot help you with that here.
