I have reserved a block of 15 rooms at the Holiday Inn Downtown in Memphis for our AMG gathering this summer. We have a guaranteed rate of $149.00 plus tax per night and for those who desire it, a $22 per night valet parking charge with in and out privileges.

The name of the group is "AMG GROUP." You also can contact the hotel directly at 1-888-300-5491.The group block is scheduled to cut off of June 30,2015. \

There is a link but I cannot figure out how to post it on here. It is a word document that opens up the web page conveniently to our group reservation. If someone can tell me how to do this, I will add this to this thread.

I made my reservation today so there are 14 rooms left. I am going to release the block as the contract specifies on June 30 if we have unreserved rooms left.

Thanks so much for taking the bull by the horns and getting this done. I was able to go to the hotel web site in your link above, click on Reservations, which bright me to the ihg.com web site. There I could enter the group name "AMG" on the left hand side, and it showed me the "AMG group" web page with the $149 rate. From there I complete my reservation. Easy peasy!

Now all I need to get a flight to Memphis.

I finally got it right

I was adding an extra day and the site would not let me into
AMG gathering

Dropped the extra day and Viola !

So I am all booked for a room with two beds .

I am so excited to see all my friends .

If you call them and ask for group sales (do this Monday, not the weekend) our rep Diedre can take care of adding your day to the reservation if you still wish to do so.

That's six room reservations! Keep them coming....we need a minimum of 10 reservations by the end of June, but the earlier the better so that we can promote to the newcomers. Remember there are still nine rooms left in the block and additional rooms are available at the block price as long as they are available.

This is going to be a great event!

We have made reservations for the room Mark and I will share in Memphis. Looking forward to seeing everyone after a two year hiatus.

Kenny and I just MAY be going. It's well beyond our budget this year but there are just so many people I want to meet. Basically all of you. Can't commit yet until I find out when my surgery will be scheduled. It could put the kabash on it.

JUST RESERVED! However I wont be arriving until the 31st (fri), staying through the 4th.

Sigh. This is gonna be a toughie not having Rocky rooming with me and flinging the curtains open in the room every morning at 7:30am and yelling "GET UP SWEET PEA!"

Was so happy to spend some time with Jody yesterday and find out the AMG was happening in Memphis this year. I haven't been on the boards for a bit (no good excuse).

Will be checking my schedule of events (translation: grant projects) to see if I can attend. Summer is our slow season, so I should be able to swing it... May bring my mother along for the ride (are there casinos close by? LOL).

At any rate, if all goes well, I should be making a reservation within the next week or two.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting those that I have yet to meet in person.

REMINDER: Our block of reserved rooms is open for one more month. At the end of June, I am going to release any unreserved rooms in the block to the hotel. If you are considering attending AMG and have not made your reservations yet, I encourage you to do so in the next 30 days. It is much more fun and convenient when we are in the same building together. We would love to have more new people attending this year.
