Andrew Stimpson is the man in the UK who had HIV in 2002 but became free of it in 2003 and allowed himself to be studied starting in 2005 ... here's the ongoing story of it at this link >

Shady to say the least.
LIFE is not a race to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in a pretty and well-preserved body, but, rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--WOW! WHAT A
RIDE!!!

This is,  for sure, a strange case. But correct me if I am wrong...this is where it stands today:

Quote from your article:
Where are we now scientifically?
Since this story was first published in The News of the World and the Mail on Sunday, no further scientific information has been made available, and there are still four possible explanations for what has happened:

1) Andrew was never infected and the first HIV antibody test gave an incorrect “false positive” result (a widely reported theory that has not been substantiated by anyone – see below).

2) The first HIV antibody test result was negative, but Mr Stimpson was incorrectly told he was positive.  This explanation is still strongly denied by the clinic where he was tested.

3) Andrew is still infected but his body has suppressed the HIV antibodies to such an extent that his latest HIV antibody tests gave “false negative” results.  Very unlikely - see below.

4) He was infected and is now not infected.

Until further scientific information (preferably from an independent source) is produced, it will remain impossible to determine which of these scenarios is correct.

It's almost certainly a false positive isn't it.  In fact i'm sure I read an article somewhere saying that it had been proved.
