First all, stop with all of the drama about committing suicide if you test positive. That's an insult to everyone here on this site who is living with HIV.

You're responsible for your own life and for maintaining your health. Unless I missed something no one was holding a gun to your head and making you have unprotected intercourse. So cut all that blame stuff out right now. It's not going to fly here. Instead of carrying on about suing him and all of that, how about addressing the real issues of your situation!

Now, you've had unprotected sex so you do have to get tested. The CDC recommends doing that at 13 weeks past the most recent unprotected incident. Hopefully when you test you'll be HIV negative. Neither the weight loss you are reporting nor any other possible symptoms can be taken as indications of HIV. The ONLY way to know your status accurately is with an HIV test at the proper time.

Meantime you have to learn from this experience. You need to make sure that when you have intercourse with anyone the insertive partner is always without exception wearing a condom. Also, mixing excessive drinking and casual sex is dangerous as you have found out. So condoms and no excessive alcohol are things you have to keep in mind.

Good luck with your test. Keep us posted. Meantime while you're waiting to test you need to focus on other things in your life. It will make the waiting time go much easier.

Cheers,
Andy Velez
