Thanks everyone! I feel a bit guilty because I'm such a lazy so-and-so when it comes to posting in AlanBama's monthly birthday thread. (note to self: remember to post in the monthly birthday thread so you don't feel like such a jerk if someone starts a thread for you again next year!)

I had an appointment at my hiv clinic yesterday and actually got to see The Wizard of Poz instead of a registrar. I haven't gotten to see The Wiz for over a year now. We talked about lots of things, but he gave me probably the best birthday present anyone could.

For years now, he's been calling me a long-term SLOW-progressor. Yesterday he told me he now officially counts me as a long-term NON-progressor!

Yesterday I promised someone in another thread that today I'd post a new thread discussing my numbers history, the issue of starting meds, the ageing issue, etc. I still plan on starting such a thread, but it isn't going to happen today. It's getting late and I've got to get ready to go out and celebrate with my bf and other friends. I'll get to it in the next day or so, promise!

I meant to mention that the other day.

I still plan on writing a thread about my numbers history, my recent assignation as an LTNP, how I think I might be experiencing hiv-accelerated ageing etc etc etc... but it's probably going to have to wait until Monday now. Hey, it's the weekend, and I'm going to engage in some R&R.

Yes, I had a lovely birthday, celebrated with some friends, the love of my life (Foxtrot Charlie) and my daughter. My daughter is a manager at a restaurant and she brought me home a couple (really big!) slices of to-die-for chocolate cake. Mmmmm yummy! It was the best birthday I've had in years.

And NO! I'm not 29! hehehe... I think Mike was teasing me. (he was the first to mention 29) I am 47 and proud of it. I've never been one to lie about my age, at least not since I turned 18.

For a long time now, (pre-hiv) I've celebrated my birthdays not so much as being a year older, but as having survived another year. There was a time in my life when I doubted I'd see 21.

Jan, I do remember when we made that date. Maybe we'll get to keep it in London - I hope so, but I'm not sure if you're planning on attending the official AMG or the OLDBAG one. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it.

Thanks again, everyone. I can't tell you all how much your kind words mean to me. I'm feeling the love.
