Etravirine (Intelence) side effects

Has anyone experienced the (listed) but uncommon side effect of extreme weakness in the legs and arms and unusual general exhaustion? My partner is suffering this after changing from Efavirenz (Sustiva) last October. He is also taking Prezista 800mg,Norvir Booster (100mg) and Lamivudine. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Robsurmer,

Does your partner take a statin for cholesterol?  Some statins can cause muscle weakness.

Yes he does but he has done so for years and never suffered that side effect. The only change he has in his meds is to start the drug Etravirine.
