After all the rumours it's still a shock.
If there is any Justice every
Pop station will play Bowie all day long.

I love David Bowie. He was a musical genius and always a gentleman.  He will definitely be missed.  RIP David Bowie.

Watching the movie "Labyrinth" right now with the kids.
They love it and have to admit so do I.  :-)

such sad news. i'm very sad to have just gotten his latest album (BlackStar) and then, upon waking up, to hear the news of his passing. I have been listening to Bowie all day (while trying to finish cleaning up the property so we can sell now that we have moved). I was very lucky to have seen Bowie perform at the Cleveland Coliseum back in Jan 2004, during the Reality Tour, on his 57th birthday. Fresh out of his collaborations with Trent Reznor (nine inch nails), Bowie really rocked it that night celebrating his birthday.

I also woke up to the sad news of David Bowie's passing.

David was eclectic to say the least.

He had many facets. Another one was his embracing and advocacy for multi-ethnic performers.

David gave the late smooth voice soul singer Luther Vandross his first big break.

David also challenged MTV on not broadcasting black performers.

Of course, I also love his duet with Bing Crosby on the Christmas song "Peace on Earth".

Rest in Peace David.

One of my earliest musical memories was dancing to Modern Love while watching Bowie at Live Aid. Listened to a lot of Bowie as a child riding with my parents. Didn't fully appreciate his genius until I was older. I truly believe his legacy will only continue to grow and will be even more appreciated. Hearing the news made me cry. Sad day at work for everyone. A truly great person as well.

according to his producer, Bowie wanted to do another album after BlackStar. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/david-bowie-planned-post-blackstar-album-thought-he-had-few-more-months-20160113

If I'm reading that right, there are five new songs lying around for a posthumous album. hopefully these demos are in better shape than the demos Michael Jackson left for his posthumous album. and hopefully these songs are released at some point in the future. ;)
