3rd lab results in 10 weeks/ happy 1st anniversary
« on: August 08, 2007, 12:31:12 am »

Mid May 1) 351/35%  VL 40,000
June      2) 348/23% n/a
August   3) 473/23% pending VL

I'm happy with today's results. I quit smoking in May and changed my diet. I started vitamins, minerals, and fish oil. No more fast food. I dance 10-30 hours a week.  I'm not saying this has had an effect on my labs but I secretly wish it has.

I guess I've had HIV for a year. I found out in May cuz I tested negative last September with a nasty seroconversion that almost forced me to take the semester off school and made me drop from 120 to 105 lbs.  Maybe I should have tested sooner but at that point all things HIV I didn't want to deal with since the doctors scared the crap out of me and my parents.

Phew. I can now breath for the next three months.  The anxiety is leaving my body slowly but I'm far more depressed.  It's situational, so I'm going to see if it lingers...would rather not go on anti-depressants.  Bought some books by David Burns and starting therapy soon.
I never thought it would be this hard to deal with but I figure this is part of the ups and downs of life and I should just let it happen and not stress.  I tend to get sick of things fast...boys...schedules...cities...so I'm hoping I will start healing soon. Thanks to all who gave me positive and supportive
feedback.  Oh and I'm 27 next week.  Bring on the late 20s.  (Some people are hating me right now I bet hehe)  ::)

Honey,

Matty the Damned is pleased to hear that you're doing well. Dancing 30 hours a week? I can just see you now, gypsy tapping your way around the supermarket.

Only one thing I'd mention -- you're CD4% has declined a bit over the last 3-4 months. Best to keep an eye on that one darling. I know you're still early on in terms of HIV, but it's still something to be mindful of.

Oh and one other thing. 105lbs? What are you, 4'11"? :)

i'm 5'6" 123 now...so yeah I'm short.  my doctor knows I've been a wreck and told me not to worry about the CD% so I'm not going to.
But yes I'll keep my eye on it. :)
The CD% dropped that fast within 3 weeks...between my 1st and 2nd labs...I'm sure it will go back up.

Darling-

I weighed more than 105 lbs in third grade, and I'm a skinny bitch, too. But I'm 150 at 5'6.

105?

Yup. It's not uncommon for newly infected people to see their numbers go haywire in the first 12-18 months. I'm sure they'll go back up too, honey.

5'6"? Jesus Christ are there any reasonably statured people in this fucking place?

It's not my fault I have the metabolism of a hummingbird and probably eat more than you.
I'm actually only 3 pounds underweight with a BMI of 19...I think.
Yes I became insanely scary-looking after the seroconversion.  My professors and peers looked horrifed when they saw me after I was absent for 3 weeks. Nicole Ritchie basically copied my look.
I gained it all back soo fast and basically was the strongest I've ever been...then I started smoking a pack a day again and that all went to hell...
I keep biting my lip...I always want nicotine. gimme now

And Matty:  I'm no slouch at 5'11''.  Though I do love me some short boys.

Shadow, you have that witty attitude that makes me think you will do fine because you will listen to people that have been there before you as well as challenge them for answers. I like that, it means that you're taking charge of your body and despite what you may think when you feel a bit down, you're doing fucking well.

I won't comment on the chain-smoking-barebacking-whore  8) Do you look like an 5'6 ironing board? If yes PM me. :D

Nothin wrong with young and slim in my book either!  And hey, I was down to 120...maybe 115 in college - i'm 5'7 -  but then again my mom was convinced I was anorexic.  Hell, maybe i was.  Funny, tho, I've actually been gaining weight since texting poz a year ago - a little too much actually, so now I hit the gym hard like I did in the fabulous 90's (and x-chelsea gymers out there?), and 140 seems to work pretty well.

But a 120 lb, wash-board, x-chain-smoking whore sounds good to me!  I like whores - especially cute ones.  And hey, do keep a check on that % - my doc made me start meds when mine hit 20%, but my vl was out the roof too.  Sounds like you're good for now!

Keep dancin hottie ;)
11/9/06 = #$%^&!
sometime early Dec 2006:
CD4 530 20%/VL >250,000 (&*$$%!!)
started Reyataz300mg/Norvir/Truvada 12-27-06.
1/30/07 CD4 540 30%/VL <400
4/07 CD4 600+ 33%/VL <50
6/9/07 CD4 720 37%/VL <50
10/15/07 CD4 891 (!) %? VL <50
1/2010 CD4 599 (37%) VL<50 (drop due to acute HCV)
9/2010 - looks like HCV is gone for good! And I'm finally drinking again, thank GOD
2013 - considering a switch to Stribild. but I love my Kidneys (but I hate farting all the time!)...
June 2013 - switched to Stribild.  so far so good...
