Dragons!
« on: November 29, 2007, 03:48:05 am »
If you haven't noticed them in my siggy:

http://dragcave.ath.cx/

It's pretty cool. There are a bunch of different dragons, and they hatch and grow according to how many clicks/views they get. I have a few in my signature. If you guys could click them for me that'd be pretty cool.

You should all get your own and stick them in your signature and see what they hatch into!

I tried Mouse.

the first one says it's sitting in a puddle and gonna die in 4.45 days if tis doesn't hatch. The rest said access denied.

I was able to click on all of 'em and each tells a slightly different story and has different hatching times also. So cool!
I want to see them dragons hatch! There's also a notice that if the dragon hatches too quickly then i'll just run away and disappear.  ???

One of mine is reaaaally close to hatching, and when it turns into a hatchling, you guys have to keep clicking it until it turns into an adult. My other three are moving fast, too.

And if you want your own eggs and there aren't any, you have to keep checking back.

Just keep checking back for eggs. They'll show up. They can't have them up all the time or there'll be a thousand out there and their servers will keep dying.

And you'll want a scroll to keep track of your eggs.

Eggs not visible like they were a few days ago......... instead, squares with red x's mark the spots. Please note: it's unbecoming for a Queen to be denied her dragon egg.....or two.

Ok, Jaser, I didn't pick up a scroll. I need one to keep track of my egg? I guess I will have to get one then. But in the meantime, I have to take applications for a Royal Egg Warmer. Someone has to keep my little eggy warm.. ;) Haven't thought of a name yet. Let's just hope it hatches....

Yeah, I got my first hatchling but I can't tell if it is a boy or a girl...If it is a girl, her name will be Princess Jade. Haven't thought of a name if it is a boy...Jaser, you better watch Matty. he's waiting on the dragon to fatten up so he can eat him....

I keep clicking on everyone's eggs and baby dragons.  Somebody better name one after me.  And, I'm not talking to matty since all he does is eat them!  In your case, you could at least invite me over for dinner ;D

Minismom, Thank you for the clicks. Suggest a name and I will consider it for one of my babies. I named my purple one Chloe since purples are supposed to be girls.                                                                              Queen, hope your babies are okay.                                                                 Love the dragons. I've decided not to eat Reginald (my grown up red dragon) as he's rather large and not terribly keen on the idea.

I am still trying to determine the sex of my dragons. I am glad you have decided against eating Reginald, Matty. Um, Mouse, how are we suppose to tell the sex? Or do we just decide on our own? If that is the case then the light green one will be Princess Jade and the dark one I will name Princess Mini (after Mini'sMom). But please continue to click on my little Princesses, I don't want them to die....

It  will not tell you until then. I named my purple  Chloe since all research shows, purples and pinks are female.

I still don't see any mini-dragons :'(  I clicked and nutured those little boogers from egg-hood and still don't see one named after me :'(  And the best chance I had of getting a dinner invite by matty gets blown 'cuz he won't eat the red dragon.

It does look like mouse's orange dragon may be biting the hand that feeds him...and eating it!   You may want to reconsider letting that one grow up.

Suggested names:
Zoe - means "life"
Sage - means "wisdom"
for matty - Comida - means "food"
Esperanza - that's my mother in law.  I'd like that one especially if you named it Esperanza Comida..lol
of course Queen Mini would be wonderful
Estraia (sp?) - means "star"
Cielo - means "sky"
Fonz - has there ever been a cooler man?
Reya - means "queen"
Rey Feo - means "ugly king"
Mr. Crazy Firebreath (mini's suggestion)

Ok, now my one dragon looks like something out of Little Shop of Horrors....I'm not even getting close to that one, he may eat me but I still have to name him. The little one is a boy as well and I named him Princess Jade, I guess that will be his drag name.... ;D And I think after reading his bio that he is gay....Woooo hooooo, I got a gay dragon, now I wish I would've named him Puff..... ;D

Modified to add: I named the other one Angelus....

I'm a little worried about cjc's green dragon...likes to gather pebbles and put them in piles?  Sounds like an Aspie dragon, to me.

Thanks, Minismom.  Very good suggestions. If I get another  girl, I can do Queen Mini and if a flying male, then I like Cielo Rey. Which would be Sky King.                   Queen, glad your babies hatched. Wish mine would.  David has one of those Vine Dragons ,too.  Be careful with him, he looks scary.  Later, Cristy

Sometimes there are abandoned ones as well. That's where i got the white one. I hope it turns into a frost Dragon. keep trying and hopefully you will get more too.   Cristy

I hate to put a damper on your excitement folks....but....do any of you realize you need to have a license to raise exotic animals in most communities.  Although pet dragons are cute when they are little they get bigger and hard to hide from the land lord and when you take them for their walks....the size of the bag you need to carry to pick up the dragon poo is huge.

For those of you who already have them, I recommend that you have them spade or neutered and be responsible owners since by your own admissions some have let them hatch and then run away and will most likely become ferral dragons that will not have a home or loving owners.

If you feel you must have a pet and i am all for people having pets since I am also a pet owner.
I recommend that you get a pet that takes little no work to keep.  I remember when everyone just had to have a pet rock and I wish they hadn't fallen out of favor.  Maybe with your enthusiasm they will make a come back.  Landlords never complained of damage to their apt except for the juvenile ones that once in a while came through their windows but that was very rare.

And besides folks you dont have to walk them and if you get a mini rock, they can fit and go anywhere with you and you rarely have to bath them and never have to feed them.

Its just a thought folks, but your all adults, and if your dead set on a pet dragon, just be responsible please. ::) :D :)

Thank you Queen. i didn't really want to put them back but figured that if I did  hopefully you could get one.  Disregard the PM's I sent you. I tried to click your blue egg but it won't do anything. I think you need to fix the link and I will click him or her every chance I get.  Glad you got a new egg. I think we are the only ones still playing. Oh well, I like my dragons.  Cristy

Ah, you raise good points, Pilot but  what could be easier to raise and maintain than virtual Dragons. And have you really, really looked at them. They are magnificent. How could anyone resist . Of course if they were real than I would have a problem since we only have 32 acres and that might not be enough space for 6 dragons. also they might eat my 5 cats or small son and then I would have to try to put them down, probably with a flame thrower, the rifle just wouldn't work.. I like them just where they are, here, my second home.       See if you can catch one and you can play, too.    I don't think they would take very well to being spayed or neutered, Think of the size of the tranquilizer it would take.  Way above my budget. Thanks, Cristy

As soon as I am allowed,I will give a pink and the green back.I have to wait a certain amount of time before i can give them back so someone else can get them. I'll  try Wednesday.  Sorry.  Cristy                                                                 Okay, I was able to give the green one back.I will try to give a pink one back Wed and not be so greedy so the rest of you can have a chance. Yes I did! I showed Mini and now she tells everyone that she has a dragon named after her.  She mentioned it in her post, too.  Now I don't see any eggs, just squares with XX's in it.

As her Majesty demands, so shall it be. Here is my secret.                                      I will tell you why I have been able to get the eggs. On my favorites page   ,I have the Entrance to the Cave saved. Also I have my Viewing Dragons page saved and I stay logged in. So when I go to the cave entrance I am already logged in so all I have to do is click the egg, if there are any. Before, I would have to go log in and by the time I got back the eggs would be gone. Try that, it will help, if there are any eggs.                                                   It would be cool if we could breed them. I will have 3 females when my pink and purple hatch cause those colors are girls.       Hope that helps.   Cristy

My white one hatched. He is not a Frost Dragon but he can heal. I wish he could heal us all but as a virtual Dragon, his power is limited to the Internet. Here he is       Cristy     I will put my other purple female with him

Did you name your healing dragon yet? My little baby seems to like the water. I learned from the first time so I have to check to see what sex it may be and name it accordingly.

Did you name your healing dragon yet? My little baby seems to like the water. I learned from the first time so I have to check to see what sex it may be and name it accordingly.
I named him  Cielo Roberto, which I think means 'King Robert" after my little man. The view of him says he is a pacifist so  with Robert being so peaceful, it seemed a good fit. I will put him with the others later if I can. Try staying logged in, I bet you will get a egg. Cristy

Server is unavailable as usual....and Matty how are you going to take the 100th post and not even mention Reginald or getting another egg? Wonders where the Wee One is since he has given birth to this Dragon thread. I wonder how many babies he has now. I wonder how many different ones there are.

Okay, I had a off night last night. I named the White Dragon, Cielo Roberto, which I thought meant  King Robert but looking back over the post, it means Sky Robert. No matter, can't change the name now.                     Where is Jaser and How many eggs does he have? I still think you and I are the only ones still playing, Queen. Except for Matty, Who snatched up the 100th post. Must bring special power.  Later, Cristy

Cristy,
Cielo means "sky".  Rey means "king".  In the 'hood, they called dh's oldest brother Rey Feo "the ugly king" or "king of the uglies". ;D

Thanks Minismom, I still like the name. So he is Sky Robert or Robert Sky. I like either of those. My purple girl grew up and I put her with my white Dragon so he can have a mate.      Later, Cristy

Queen, Hey Queen!!!!!! We can breed the females. I named my new girl Jacquline and I am going to breed her with Sky Robert cause she is his mate.  Cool. I am going to see how that works now. Cristy                     Okay, I attempted to breed both Chloe with Sky King And Jacquline with Roberto But neither produced eggs. I wonder how often I can breed them. I will try again  Monday since that's my next day off. Cristy

Hello, My pink hatched. I named her Simone but I am going to wait to breed her until my orange Dragon  grows up. Maybe they will produce a egg. I have found you can only breed them once. I will put her in this post . Later, Cristy

Queen, you have to get a female Dragon. From what I can tell, it's only the purple or pink ones. When it grows up go to actions and it will have a button that will allow you to breed the female with one of your males. I think you can only breed them once. I bred both my purple females to 2 of my males but got no eggs.  I will keep trying, I haven't gotten tired of the dragons yet. Later, Cristy

I want one of each kind and as many females as I can get I saw a pink but she was gone, just that quick. really like this so I check in every chance I get with it lately    Later, Cristy

Thanks cristy!

I was reading in the forums that the eggs are avalable at the beginning of every hour, so I waited for some asshole hour to get some...  it looks like one of them is hatching already...yay!

Thanks! and I've already performed the obligatory motherly duties to your eggs. :)

Queen, I do not think you are doing anything wrong, Just that Joseph and I have gotten lucky. Keep trying as I am at my limit until some of mine grow up. I did get another purple and when she grows up, I will breed her with my Red when he grows up. Unless I am wrong about pink and purple being the only females. Keep trying , Queen, And Joseph, I'm glad you decided to play. Later, Cristy

Okay, According to the forums that go along with the Dragons, there are 3 different colors of female, pink, purple and another that I haven't found yet. Also, you can breed them once a week. So next week, I will breed the females again. I will try to find out what the other color female is. I'm thinking gold or silver but I have neither of those . Later ya'll. Cristy                                        Also Joseph is right. The eggs are put out and this is a quote   " New eggs come every hour at the beginning of the hour. However, they are limited, so you need to be fast in order to get an egg."  So try then. Later C

I got another pink, I have no more room in my siggy so I will put my new pink here   It says the egg is soft. Hope it's not bad  I put her in my sig line since my black male grew up                                                                                                                                                                                  Also, I was able to breed Simone with Mini and they produced an egg. I have put her in my sig line now.  Ya'll click my eggs, Ya hear. I will put them in my Siggy when I get room. Thanks, Cristy   I love this game .

The other female color is silver.  There is a basic guide in the Dragons forum that talks about some of this stuff                               Queen, the speckled eggs might be either chicken or something called Yoshi . I understand chickens(we only have about 20 ) but I don't know what Yoshi is.  But  I will try to find out. Later, Cristy

Wasn't Yoshi a character in the Mario games? Oooh, I hope it looks like that. The ones I have now, I have never had. I tried to name the blue one but the ink kept disappearing. I guess cause he is a water dragon. I was going to name him Azul, I think that is blue in spanish. I'm still trying to catch them all and eventually I'll end up with a female.

I'm not sure who Yoshi is but I can't wait for the speckled one to hatch. I wonder if it's a chicken?    My orange male hatched and I tried to name him Asher but the ink disappeared. Oh so the name disappears if someone has already taken it. I didn't know that. I just included my bff in on the site. I hope she finds some eggs.
I had that happen with a couple names and went to the forums and it said why. Hope your friend finds some eggs. It's about time for a new set to go up. Later, Cristy

Queen, I got a glimpse of what your speckled egg hatched into. It looks like a duck but it may suprise us. If only the damn service would be available. I cannot even access my own dragons. Grrrr >:( Oh well. I will keep trying. Cristy     Okay, here is a type of egg I have never seen before. I will place it here until I have more room in my sig line. I wonder what this one will be. Cristy                                                        I bred Jacquline and Angelito and got this egg     C

Your new egg looks like it's all dressed up for Christmas.  The little ducky thing does look like Yoshi on Mario Brothers video game.

I imagine it did hurt. I think that egg is some kind of holiday egg.   I see your Len grew up. I keep clicking everyone's (myself included ) eggs and hatchlings. Did you see the duck things Queen and I got. C

Cool, when she grows up you can breed her once a week and usually you get an egg.                                                                              My yoshi grew up, It says he can fly if he eats egg shells. I will put him here.                                                                                                  I still haven't been able to breed Claudia, maybe I have too many. C

Wow! 15 dragons!  The last 3 show they are still un-named.  How did your adult dragon die?  Is it just something they do or did he not get enough clicks?

You know it's funny but I really love playing with these Dragons. I showed Robert the White male that I named after him and he keeps asking to see it. I wish I wouldn't have tried to make the Zombie dragon but can't change it now. I also acquired a Blue, which I don't have yet.   Cristy

I still can't breed Claudia but will keep trying.  There is no limit as far as adults and hatchlings but I know you are only allowed 4 eggs at a time, 5 if one is a bred egg. Ireally like this game so will continue for a while.  Later, Cristy

Cristy                                              Okay, I bred her but No L did not come up on the list I was allowed to breed her with. Tried Angelito with her but she turned him away. not interested I guess. I still can't breed Claudia, must be a glitch. Oh well. Cristy

Once you have all of them, then what?  When you breed 2 of your adult dragons, do you get some sort of hybrid dragon?

Very good question  MM. I guess once I have them all I will just collect the ones I like best . Eventually I will lose interest but maybe not for a while.     No hybrids but it would be interesting. You get one of  2 types  you breed. I will suggest the hybrid thing. Later, Cristy

I've been working on my medication instigated emotional issues, and forgot I had dragons. :)  LOL  SORRY!

I should probably set them free or kill them...  can I even do that?

anyway, I'd love to breed them, but I can even seem to get myself bred at this point - so I don't trust my abilities.

Joseph, that I have retained interest in the dragons this long just shows how dull and boring my life is. Except for Robert.                          I am sorry you have  medication instigated emotional issues and I hope they get better.

That one I can relate to. The only breeding going on around here is the dragons so.......                                                    Don't kill them, it's horrible. This screen comes up talking about "your dragon looks at you with trusting eyes as you drive your sword home, then it dies, wondering why you killed it"                        I killed one trying to make a zombie dragon. I won't try again. I don't think you can set them free but it's not like you have to feed them. I see your new egg and will click it. Later, Cristy

I gave the orange one back. I also bred Cyther and Simone and got a silver eggy. I will put it and the gold in my siggy.                         Queen, good luck with the breeding. Hopefully you will get a egg, sometimes they won't cooperate. Cristy

Your little paper dragon hatched.  He's a tiny thing.  I wonder if he'll be bigger when he grows up.  Goldie is about to hatch, too.

Thanks, MM.   The paper Dragon will be bigger when he grows up   and little Goldie hatched. Too bad it's not real and we could convert it to US dollars and spend it. Oh well. Thanks for looking at the dragons. Cristy

I got another egg that I don't believe I have yet. I will have to wait for it to hatch to be sure. I added it to my sig. Now if I can just find a 2 headed one. C
