Hey ya'll...
I have been reading these boards and getting a lot of emotional support from reading all of your stories. It truly does help to know there are (unfortunately) so many people in the same boat. My story is pretty unremarkable... unsure when I was exposed (I speculate a lot, but that's all it is). More than likely it was some time in the past 18 months... I was just out of a relationship and tested preliminarily positive 9/12/07, which was a real shock, and it was confirmed 10/1/07. Only one set of labs so far, with cd4 504 vl 40,000. I am uninsured and self employed, which is scary, but have been hooked up with a local clinic with a great doctor for now, and not on any meds yet. Anyway, that's bout it. Oh, I am a 30 year old gay male in North Carolina, just FYI. I am glad to have found a place with caring people from a variety of backgrounds, and will more than likely be joining in some of the discussions from here on out.

Thanks, glad to meet you guys! I grew up in New England, so I miss the cold weather... we have not had a good snow in several years now, at least in the Raleigh area. I am keeping my fingers crossed for this year, but it does not look good so far. ;)

Hello,
I just signed up to the boards and well I have been poz for yrs. And I got to tell you it still a shocker at times as to the folks whom are not aware of the ABC's of life and sex and it's risks
If ever you want to ask some thing I will tell you my opinon and weather I got facts or history of my own to back it up.
Yet remember it is my opinion and my opinion only. Not to be mis-con-screwed as what to do or to pass on.
I got the final good extendsive test results to being POZ in Feb 89
Yet I am sure I know when I got it
Thanks for letting me voice to ya all

Welcome to the forum...geographicly we're next door neighbors...since I live in Georgia. Although I grew up in the midwest and miss the snow, not the bitter cold.
