While all the other girls have on pretty dresses and lovely corsages and I am sitting at home with my frozen pizza and rocky road ice cream. So here we have our AMG friends in San Francisco having a great time and I am sitting at work. I am so jealous when others get to go to the party and I don't. Hope they all have fun.

I just went to NYC yesterday and will go again next month (unglamorous Greyhound) so I don't feel to bad. Baby shower and impending birth demand my attendance.
Oh, plus 3 doctors appointments :)

My prom date really did wear a hoopskirt. Thank goodness I wasn't interested in getting underneath it. Now getting underneath the prom king was a completely different story.

I must say that I found the irony of having an Aids Meds Gathering in a country that still actively discriminates against HIV+ folks a little too much irony for me to experience. So I'm at home alone Friday night as well.

Since I'm not on meds yet, its the principle, darling. I may have no morals, but still a few principles.

On December 1st, World AIDS Day, President Bush issued an executive order to the Secretary of State that may ultimately change rules that prohibit HIV-positive foreigners from entering the United States unless they are granted a special waiver. Bush’s order does not change current immigration law but initiates a rule-making process that could create a categorical waiver for business or tourist visas for up to 60 days. The United States is one of only approximately 15 countries worldwide that place a travel ban on HIV-positive foreigners, including China, Iraq, Russia, and Saudi Arabia.

I went to my prom with my best friend and we wore denim....
and later we did mushrooms (class of 73)
It was a memorable experience.....waking up butt naked in the middle of the woods
with four other guys...
I hope they are having a good time in SF...perhaps you could hook up with them after
