"Fingering" is not a viable risk for HIV infection:  there has never been a documented case of HIV infection occurring in this manner.

From where the blood came, I have no idea, but most likely the blood came from you when you were "fingered."

Whether you test for HIV antibodies is your decision, but if you do, I would fully expect that you would test "negative" as a result of the incident you described.

In general, however, it is prudent for a sexually active person to test annually for all
STD's/STI's, including testing for HIV antibodies.

Patrick has answered your question.

It is not possible to get HIV from being fingered, move on with your live.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim

No, you are not at risk for HIV infection because you shared poppers with a guy and noticed blood from your nose afterward, even if it was his blood.

The HIV is extremely fragile and does not survive contact with oxygen (or poppers).

Receiving unprotected oral sex is not a risk for HIV infection, but may be a risk for other STD's/STI's.

You may wish need to review ways to practice safer sex for your future activities:

You do not need to test for HIV antibodies because of the incident you described.

You may wish to consider routine yearly tests for all STD's/STI's, s long as you are sexually active.

HIV is sexually transmitted inside the human body as in never leaving the confines such as during as example unprotected sex.

Masturbation is outside the human body, your contact with any fluids that had been exposed was not a HIV risk. It is a risk for easier to transmit STI's.

Move on with your life.

That was the answer.

I note that the other mod's have already answered your questions before, by explaining how HIV is and is not transmitted and providing you information that would have covered this question already.

Quote
The HIV is extremely fragile and does not survive contact with oxygen

It simple, In short your main risks are:

* Sexual contact with an infected person. (Such as unprotected intercourse)
* Sharing needles, syringes, or other injection equipment with someone who is infected.
* Transmission via donated blood or blood clotting factors. - very rare in countries where blood is screened for HIV antibodies.
Mother-to-child transmission is also possible but no risk to you as you are not a newborn baby.

Instead of coming back asking us about transmission routes we have already dismissed with previous answers, learn how to prevent HIV, use condoms and read the links the mod's provided to you and test at least yearly for STI'd including but not limited to HIV.
