Erectile Dysfunction for 25 years
« on: March 18, 2016, 04:48:02 pm »
I'm a long term survivor over 30 years.  My appendix burst in 1992 and my "equipment" has never been the same. Viagra etc worked in the beginning until I started dialysis from 2000 to 2008. After a successful kidney transplant I look and feel better but still take a boat load of pills daily. I have been working out since 1986  and have a good social life. However, I continually hear of friends getting laid etc and it makes me nuts that I have had to endure this nonsense for too long.
What I do find infuriating is when people tell me I am lucky to be alive. If there were an assisted suicide clinic to end things for me I'd do it in a heartbeat. I cannot deal with the thought that my manhood was taken away at age 31.  I'm 55 now and I'd rather not have another 10 or 20 years to contend with feeling inadequate or having a "normal" relationship.  I just want this to be over!

  Hello Joez ,

                   Nice to meet you .

Many people live without a sex life , anti depressants  are a major cause .

You need to speak to a doctor about not wanting to live !

It may be hard not to function as a man should , but death is not the answer .

You say you have friends , talk to them .

Do not sit and wish you were dead , I know you don't want to hear it again , but

it could be way worse .

Please get some help ASAP !   Life can be ok with out sex .

Sending you a great big hug .

The support you need is out there , and here on this site .

                                           I am concerned ,  Carl

Hi Carl,  I appreciate your response but 25 years is more than enough time to deal with that on top of everything else. Just too much at this point.

Hi Joez,
Carl is right !  Find someone to confide in and get help .
There are many things I wish I could change , I have lived with the body changes and lipo since 2000. That was the main reason I found this forum and the support I needed. I found I was not alone and hope you will find the same, because you are not. You have fought too many battles to even consider not choosing life,
we never know what wonderful things are just around the corner waiting for us.
I look forward to getting to know you and welcome !

Best , Wade
