Im beginning to hate them.  My mom has cancer so of course I research on the net and the long-term survival rates suck.  But Im told every individual is different and you cant really look at what statistics say, but rather, keep in mind what they DONT say.  So many factors and demographics are taken into account that you just cant take it at face value and apply a rate across an entire population.

It breaks my heart that the one person in my life who has always loved me unconditionally has to go through this crap.

Hey Jeff,

I am really sorry to hear this. I do know that survivability is increased with a solid support mechanism.  It is obvious that she has that.  Being by her side, your love will be a tremendous gift, and plenty of motivation.

Best wishes,

Thanks, John.
There has been many bumps in the road and she has bounced back each and every time.  She is a real trooper.  But Im very afraid.  She is the brave one comforting all the rest of us.

So sorry to hear about your mom. I know how you feel but dont give up.

My brother has had  lung cancer(had left lung removed) a brain tumor, and a tumor behind his left sinus. This time last year he was starting radiation for the cancers in his head. A couple of weeks ago he got the results of his last set of scans...no cancer was found. He goes every 4 months for scans to check for cancer.

Hang in there. I will be praying for your mother.

Thanks, Teresa.  I really appreciate your kind comments.

My mom has ovarian cancer and that cancer is a real bitch especially because its typically caught in advanced stages.  But my mom had a good surgeon and so far she seems to be responding to the treatments.  Im praying she goes into a permanent remission.

Thanks again.
