I'm a walking hazzard.

You're also a redneck if you spell it like that!

All aside, you did a lot of good in Vegas and you know it. I'm glad we got to see you again. Sucks what happened when you got back, but it could always be worse. We came home to the sunflowers drooping in the back yard, but I'm sure we'll start smelling the dead rat in the wall any day now.

Cheers,

Yee Gawd Mister how much other stuff can possibly go on for you.

Hopefully, you'll get to your house in one piece (you said you were at your mom's).

It was so wonderful getting to see you again.

Take care and see you around the forums buddy.

Boy, Will,  you're one real sad sack, aren't you? I don't know what it is. I thought it couldn't get any worse than when we were in the emergency room Saturday afternoon not knowing where we were:  Nevada or Arizona? (it would be nice to blame the heat, wouldn't it?)

By the way...to the rest of the gang, it was a great gathering.  It was so good to see all of you again.  You are just what the Dr ordered. Even Thom's dibilitating fall brought out the best of us and shows once again how cathartic these little get-togethers are.

And Hippie Lady I gotta say you were a most pleasant surprise.  I do hope we meet again.

Will,

How on God's earth did you lose your phone at the airport?  in Vegas? LA?  Sorry so many untoward things happened to you this past week.  I am glad you have your drivers license and hope you figure out how to access the router from the laptop.  Felt strange yesterday because you weren't around!

Going home tomorrow late afternoon.  Please take care!

robert

Robert, LOL, I think liquor had more to do with it than the heat, you had me so goddamned confused :) For those of you who werent aware the day before our unfortuante incident with THom, Gary and I spent a few hours in the E.R. with Robert who had to have a cut taken care of.

To Wit:

"Stewie was a Goddamned Puppet!"

I think Gary and I saw more E.R. Rooms than Casinos

But given the circumstances, I wouldnt have it any other way :)

But as you alluded to Robert, one of the most beautiful things about these gatherings is the brotherhood/sisterhood that arises if one of us are in trouble. It was truly amazing to see everyone pull together when you and Thom needed it.

Robert you were a trooper at Ceasers helping to keep Thom comfortable until EMS arrived. Gary your comforting words during the stressful situation at Ceasers helped not only Thom but me, I wished you would have been in the EMS ride as they nearly had to put me in the back with Thom :o  Carl, you are an amazing person, shuttling everyone back and forth to and from the hospital, airports, meet and greets, etc...you exude kindness. RAB, you were my "Rock" during the entire stay and especially at the Hospital. Jan, you are truly an Angel, im not sure what any of us, especially Thom, would have done without you, you took charge of the situation when needed and bestowed comfort and calm on us. Hippielady, you are one of a kind (and quite gorgeous), you are a perfect fit with us. I could go on and on about everyone there...

Update on my lost phone- Apparently I left it in the smokers circle at the San Antonio Airport (Damn addictions!). Someone picked it up and called my friend in Virginia who then called my mother and told her the phone was at lost and found in the airport. Hence I had to make ANOTHER trip to lost and found to pick up my phone, the people at lost and found are now my good friends, lol.

Oh and Henry- my absent-mindness (phone, drivers license, etc...) is your fault! I know if you had been there I would have had it "More together", lol.

Sounds more like one of Wumpy's tricks placed a Santeria hex on him, and it then followed his ass to Vegas and did damage not only to his own personal effects, but the lives of all that surrounded him.

I don't care how nice your biceps are girl, just stay away from me.

Will , such a great Holiday,  makes for a super episode of some soap opera..... guy/gals gathered for a Holiday in  " Happy Town"  meet diverse folks and spend equal times partying and attending the Emergency Room......

Glad you found your "stuff" in spite of the Bad spirits that were dogging you....  as usual you were a delight and a fun guy to be with....

Yes, yes, Im hearing the same thing from my mom, albeit in somewhat kinder gentler terms (no talk of tricks and Santaria curses). She's quite surprised we all survived the leap off the tower given my propensity for instilling bedlam and pandemonium.

I just hope I'm invited back to any future gatherings  :-\

and dont worry P, I'm saving a big 'ol hug for you with these Santaria cursed biceps ...mwahahaha ;D

Will,

I think you may always want to keep the San Antonio airport Lost and Found on your "call list."  At least all your lost items wind up in the same place.... mine are all over creation, some never to be found again.

Packing the last items now and getting ready to check out, eat some lunch, and head to the airport for my 5:15 pm flight home.

I still miss everyone from our LV gathering (whatever we choose to call it) and I had a GREAT time in spite of all the unplanned events.  If anything, it allowed us to draw closer together!  We will do it again....perhaps with a bit less drama!
 :)

Gee Will, You and I had black clouds hanging over both of us.  I got a bill for my 2008 tax return for $1,200.00 the week before the gathering.  Capital One refused my card for the hotel. Thank god for my Credit Unit Debit Card that also has Credit attached.  I got back to Phoenix OK.  My car had a flat tire on 08/03. I took it in on Monday 08/10 and it needed two tires, new hoses and belts.  It's a 97 Carolla with 60,000 miles on it. I'm not trying to outdo you but show that we both had experiences outside of our control but we both had a great time and didn't let things get us down. You are so cute, I must say.

Garry, You are an inspiration for me.

Nick, I hope we will continue to be great friends. I wore your t-shirr to work today.  People know my story at work and I enjoyed their banter.

RAB: How can I thank you enough!!!We are both long term survivors and dealing with it.I finally got to experience being with people like me. You most of all! Let me help out next gathering.

Jan, Jen: First of all, Jan you are so beautiful and loving and caring. Jen: I love you, as crazy as you are.

Weazil: Thank you for our alone time to talk to each other.

The David's and Bonnie.  There is a great love there that you all gave me.

Creighton and Santi! You both gave me a sence of being.  My Spanish side.  I am called Lorenzo within my family. Yes I'm a white boy but Spanish, Scott's German (on both sides) and Salt river Indian plus Chilean and Italian. Goulash! Now I'm hungry.

Thom, Robert Alliance Hippylady and anyone I've forgotten. Everyone there rounded out my experience. I got to have some alone time with everyone.

Next Year, I'd vote for New Orleans.  I was at Keesler AFB for technical training and never got there.

I agree with Jen, I liked my picture ow Will doing his George W. Impersonation.  I'll have it enlarged for everyone. We all learned a lot about Will that weekend.  I do admire him and everyone.

Thank you all.
