been a long time......
« on: December 25, 2014, 11:27:53 am »
Hey everyone! Happy Holidays.

Wow it has been a very long time since I've been on here. I have been thinking about you all and decided it's time to resurface a bit.

I have been living up in the Pacific NW the past year. A much slower pace of life was needed (well slower than the SF Bay area).

Big Hugs,

Sharkie

I hear ya !!  Not sure how old you are, but for Ed and myself, ( We're both 63) we very much like the slower pace of life !  :) We try to think young, but living it is a different story.  ;)

Every once in a while when we get into the fast pace, it doesn't take us long to realize , we have to slow it down a notch or two.

Thanks everyone!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  Mine was quiet which was nice and much needed.  Didn't get into the gift giving craziness this year (except for my little niece of course).  I had a lot of time to reflect.

It was a tough year financially with the move and with all of the changes in health care as a consumer as well as a provider. I probably should have waited another year to move but I made a decision and stuck with it. Definitely learned what the important things in life for me; food, shelter, medical care and good friendships.

I'll be 48 next month and living with HIV for geez.. approx 32 years. I've looked into some support groups but a big majority of them were focused on newbies here in the Vancouver/Portland area. Truthfully it's a little hard to relate to non- long timers' different concerns, different issues, different how should I say....."culture"

It's good to be back.

:-)
