Cd4's rise and fall without meds.  459 is still a good #.  I don't know if you're on them or not from your post.  You can see my fluctuations below my signature line.

Stress is NO GOOD with HIV, try your best to relax until you can see your counselor, ok??

Well, before I went on meds, my CD4s were known to rise and fall quite a bit, sometimes 200 to 300 at a time.

Don't sweat a single lab result. Look for ongoing trends.

And, as Longislander said, stress doesn't do anybody any good. So, try to take a few deep breaths and remember one set of labs doesn't really mean much by itself.

HUGS,

Mark

Nah, your CD4 is practically normal. The numbers game is a bit like bingo, but personally I don;t pay much attention to my CD4 now as long as my viral load is undetectable (on treatment). it can really screw your head fretting over 50 CD4s there and 50 here, when most likely they's hiding in your lymph or pancreas or sommat and so not available for counting. Plus a variation of +/- 100 or more is easy on CD4 counts, depends on so many factors. as Aztec says, it's the trend that counts (I am so getting a t shirt with that on).
