while in boston things to know about lobster

Lobster varies in price from place to place ?

The Atlantic lobster has two large claws that Pacific spiny lobster does not have .

Things you might want to know about the lobster so while you are eating one you sound like you have eaten them your entire life ?

the male lobster has narrow hips and spinney thorns on the under side of it' s tale

the female has wide hips and the spines on the under side of the tale  are very small bumps why is this important to know. The female has this stuff called roe that is a blob of red stuff between the thorax the mane body and the tale  ? Why is this important so you know what you are eating ? the roe is the eggs of baby lobsters so if you do not want lobster eggs on your plate just look for the spikes under the tail these ones are male and do not have eggs . if lobster eggs seem like A neat idea to try to see if they are better then chicken eggs ? then you would want a female ?
