Nethan,

Many thanks for your post. Actually what you said makes absolute sense beside that there is nothing i can do at the time being. I am fully adherent, i have my medication, and i dont have any health issues thank god.

I hope other participants can share their experiences on this topic. And i wish if they faced the same, their lab works were perfect.

Thank you again
Prince

The only other comment I have is I really don't understand why the PrEP to start with? I really don't get that.

Thanks Jim,

My wife is HIV negative, my doctor advised to continue PrEP for three months. Here in India it is horrible situation to go to any doctor, if it is regular doctor too.  That's the reason I was not visited to my Doctor. Is it safe to stop the PrEP?.

Questions About Treatment & Side Effects / Re: Anyone taking a PI

I started on tivakay and descovy. I had 0 problems with descovy, but get 6 hr severe headaches from tikavay. Do all integrase inhibitors cause headaches or dizziness? I took crixivan for years and never had any problems with it. Are the newer protease inhibitors with booster headache free? I'm thinking all integrase and nrtis affect the vascular and cause headaches or dizziness.

I am taking  3 in 1 magic pill included DTG , no kind of side effects related to headache

As long as you are taking your medicine still you are lucky and healthy. Pandemic worst nightmare is runout medicine Supply but as long as there is no issue with ArV supply, just be patient per while for a blood test. Without blood test best thing you are doing is adhered to medicine means blood test is second thing you can do laterÖ depending on where you live , even dr can email blood form and go to a laboratoryÖ if its not the way in your place, just take your medicine and live a lifeÖ when I diagnosed my first aim was to find enough ARv supply without discrepancies in pandemic and once im secure with ARV other tests can be done as per situation in the pandemic 😷

The AZ Oxford rollout in Australia is proving a pain.

After the first shot there is a three week window where clots have been observed. Some of the symptoms are vague rash, headache that sort of thing...  I'm normally so relaxed and comfortable with vaccines but this one meant I was constantly evaluating my health in an almost obsessive fashion.  SAt last the three weeks has passed.

Now I have a 9 week wait for my second appointment.

At current rollout rates Australia won't be vaccinated untill 2023.  That's an awfully lot of lockdown still to come

I gained about 20 lbs between when I started Stribild after being diagnosed 12/2014, then switching to Genvoya, and eventually Biktarvy. I was miserable during that time being at my heaviest, and I also had trouble losing weight (granted, I didnít try *too* hard). My ID doctor recommended I try Juluca to see if it was the TAF preventing weight loss, so I just switched in February. I have also started a new workout routine so I canít 100% say itís the medicine but Iíve lost 15 lbs since then. I have none of the constant gas and bloating I had on all my previous meds. Juluca is a pain because I have to take it with food and it has to be a certain amount of time before or after I take Pepcid complete which I need maybe 2-3 times a week for reflux. Otherwise Iím happy I switched.

Hello,

Due this darkened days with the pandemic, i have been a victim of restriction of movement and the freedom to move. Hence, i have missed my yearly routine check-up for few months now. Expected few more months to be able to reach my clinic.

I don't know how much longer should i wait until i will be able to see my doctor again, i would appreciate if somebody passed through the same and share his experience in terms of skipping and/ or being unable to access his routine check-up for a prolong period of time. Any risk? any advice?

on a side note, i am adherent to my ART, i feel generally well, just like any normal day.

Living With HIV / Re: Possible to work temporarily in UAE?

Hi,

Rules are still applied and its clear. For expats, you cant issue a work permit without HIV negative test. Any ELISA positive test will be deported immediately in a dehumising settings.

Nonetheless, You can bring your own medication if you are on a visit or a short stay related to work which does not require issuing a permit.

Hope its clear for you.

My dad passed 4/5 and left me about $11,000. I called my case manager and she said it doesnít affect my case with her, but that Medicaid had a $1000 cap on what I could have. Iím wanting to buy a small house, but havenít reported the money to Medicaid yet. Iíve been getting ďextra helpĒ to cover my meds, and Iím afraid that Medicaid will expect me to spend all of this money on medication. I know if I buy a home that they wonít take my residence, but how do I get this done (itsí a slow process) without getting in trouble? Do I quit my meds? Has anyone dealt with this? I donít know where else to ask.
