The Hartford crowd wasn't too pleased with him. Oh well. Looks like his career is coming to an end.

He's battled some demons before and it sounds like he may be having a hard time again. He walked away from Chappelles Show at the height of its running (and it was funny). Something abut him not being able to handle the fame.
I loved his comment abut the crowd;
Chappelle then called the Hartford crowd evil and described them as a bunch of "young, white alcoholics."
That pretty much describes every comedy club in America.

I went to school in Hartford and I still remember the day I moved there.
As soon as I got into town I stopped at a convenience store. The first thing I saw was a homeless guy pissing on a dumpster.
Nuked? No.
Shampooed? Definitely.

Can't say that I like Hartford much myself but it's like OZ compared to Bridgeport.
-
Agreed. Bridgeport scared me.

It's all about Westport.
ps: I still want to go to Louis' Lunch in New Haven for cheeseburgers, and to the two legendary apizza places Frank Pepe and Sally's.

Ah Hartford. I came out there (first gay bar) freshman year of college in the quaint pre-AIDS days, so it gets a pass from me.
Then again, there are some insurance companies headquartered there I've had evil thoughts about over the years. ;-)

I lived in the Middletown/Cromwell area (1/2 way between Hartford and New Haven) for a few months. I remember New Haven was always the best place to eat.

Let me know when and I'll be there.
Westport is a fantasy town with fantasy people. Nice place to visit but...
The lower CT river valley is more funky in a good way. More quirky people. I fit in.

Westport and Greenwich are antiseptic and stepfordy but thats typical for such enclaves anywhere. If I had to choose a lux town in New England I'd rather Watch Hill yeah where Taylor Swift bought that pile. Its very small, picturesque, great beaches, a bit isolated, not touristy and despite its lux not too snobby. Not a party town.
Scruffy Bridgeport has pockets that are great (Blackrock for example), as do other scrappy towns and cities along the coast.
I wouldnt want a house too close to high wave mark, better on rocks or a bluff.
