Pin wheel on glans
« en: Enero 27, 2024, 07:03:54 am »
Hello,

I had the following encounter, which I think was no risk, but I wanted to ask here as you have a better understanding than I do.

I visited a dominatrix. She used a pin wheel on my penis shaft as well as on my glans. I noticed some small red bruises on my skin afterwards which looked like sores from penetrating the skin. I'm not sure though, they could be small bruises due to a rough handjob she gave me.

I don't know where the pin wheel was before it touched me, but at least for the first 15 minutes it rested on the cupboard.

What would you say is the risk for HIV (and maybe other STDs)?

Thank you for your help.

I read your post three times; what you posted here isn't an HIV risk.

Relax and move on with your life.

Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.

Kind regards

Jim

Hello Jim,

Thank you for your answer. One more reply from me,then I will try to stay put.
So, even in the worst theoretical scenario where blood with hiv would have been in the pins there would be no risk? Rationally I know this is unlikely, but my mind is playing tricks on me when I get worried.

Yesterday I noticed one swollen lymph node in my groin. Initially, I asked If you know if there is a risk for other STDs,too. So you think that's possible?
I have a doctors apppointment for testing in six weeks to get checked for a few STDs. I do this once a year, but after this occurence I will do it earlier this year than usual. But until then I hope I can put my mind at ease.

Thank you again

It's not an HIV risk. There are no "what ifs" about it. Hence, we said no HIV risk.

Your concerns lack all the environmental and biological conditions needed to acquire HIV. So to sum it up, the pinwheel on your penis isn't an HIV risk, even if it did have fluids on them or they did penetrate the skin.

Move on with your life.

This is an HIV forum, so that's our focus. As for other STIs, well, there is no such thing as safe sex, in addition, you had risks for common bacterial infections for sure if the skin was broken, and I am presuming she didn't only run a pin wheel over your penis; there must have been some touching etc.

Anyhow, there is no need to run out and test every time you have sexual contact. Just get screened yearly for STIs.
