Title: Hiv through protected sex and jock itch scratch on scrotum..... .
Post by: Jagzzz on January 20, 2017, 04:45:46 am
Hello everyone, i m really scared and anxiety is killing me.....
Straight on ques. I m from India and had protected sex with sex worker (status HIV positive),that time i m dealing with jock itch and befor 1 day of my exposure i scratched it and it became like small abrasion as feeling burning when touch, now what is killing me is that can hiv transmitted through condom as sex was last for only 3-4 min and is there any Chance of infection if vaginal fluid came in contact with jock itch abrasion....... ?????
Last point can we know when condom break as don't find it i m assuming that condom was intact and can there is a chance of hole in condom that can't be seen by naked eyes and from which hiv Can pass.....
Thankyou for this service and sry for any kind of mistakes..........  :-[

Jock itch or scratched - no risk, Simpy none whatsoever.

If a condoms breaks it shreds leaving no doubt, this did not happen so no risk either. Move on with your life.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing (https://poz.com/basics/hiv-basics/hiv-testing)

Kind regards

Jim

You had no exposure.

The symptoms are not HIV related and certainly not from this incident as it was not a risk. If you had had a risk, and you did have HIV symptoms you would also have tested positive already. (You don't have true HIV symptoms and test negative on antibodies)

Now, I am unwilling to pretend or entertain that you had a risk from the incident you posted, when you simply did not. If you ever do get HIV it was not from what you posted, so unless you tell me something else happened such as unprotected intercourse, move on and use condoms, test as routine at least yearly for HIV and STI's.

Jock itch and scratches firstly would not provide direct access to your blood stream, you risk ends at this point, Ill also add that if the scratch is not on your penis than as added barrier HIV is a fragile once exposed outside the human body to the environment/air it would not be infectious.

Even in theoretical conditions for cuts/wounds, it would require deep open actively bleeding cuts such as from a knife wound and than the other person would need to have the same, rubbing them air tight together bleeding into each other.

It simple was not the case, nobody has sex when they are bleeding from a knife wound to the penis.

Jock itch and scratches are not risks. Biologically, four conditions need to be present for transmission to occur: The virus must be present in an infectious body fluid from the HIV positive person, it must be present at sufficient levels to cause infection. There must be an effective route of transmission, and it must reach susceptible cells in another person.

You did not meet any of the 4 biological conditions needed.

Move on, stop stressing and see a doctor to treat whatever is making you sick, its not HIV from this incident.
