AMG Arrivals
« on: August 09, 2008, 10:38:01 pm »
Well family,

We just got a call Dame Jan and Mr RAB.

Jan has moved into our AMG Hotel.  She reports that it is absolutely beautiful.  The beds are fantastic.  (Sounds like Dennis nailed it again.)

True to form, Damned Fool sent RAB packing early.  Thanks DF for getting Mr RAB to MEX to protect Dame Jan.  Now someone got someone lost, but we'll hear that story when we all get to MEX.

Wishing everyone a very safe and uneventful trip.

See you on Wednesday or Thursday.

Loves and hugs, R & T

PS - Watch for updates as everyone begins to arrive.

Don{t even ask about how she lost her friggin shoe in the middle of one of the busiest intersections.  <Iswear to god the woman is crazy)

Anyway, we are both anxiously awaiting everyone{s arrival.

RAB

(who obviously can{t use this keyboard to save his life)

Edit to add:  Whatever she says, EVERYTHING is her fault!  And I do mean EVERYTHING!

It's getting close!  I think Creighton said 7 of us are on the plane from Dallas-Fort Worth.  Here come the Texans!

Jan, I have something for you and I imagine you can guess what it is, but don't.  At least give me the illusion of creativity.

Well she{s done it again!

Yesterday she loaded my sorry butt in a cab to go off to some damn place or other to see if it would work for the Memorial.

We got dropped off in the middle of no where, she didn{t have a clue where we were at first.  All the streets nearby were shut down to cars due to a bike race and marathon.

So you know what happened?  We WALKED 5 friggin miles to get back to the hotel.  Im warning everyone she is driving me crazy.  Please hurry up and get here!  Im serious.

I FOUND A LIQUOR STORE!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Go out the back side of the hotel, turn left, walk two blocks!  That{s it!

Dame Jan is freaking out about some stuff.  She{s a driven woman I tell you.  I{m thinking of medicating her!  We really need the help of someone who speaks Spanish.  Seriously.

Basquo and Santi, could you possibly come early?   ::)

She also got her hair cut today.  Christ, you would have thought they were removing a kidney the way she went on about, what if they do this?  What if they do that?  Lord that woman (whom I adore, but she{s still a controller!  Sheesh)

BTW, the weather has been WARM, last night we did have a spectacular thunder and lightning storm.  I turned off the lights in my room, opened the curtains, and just sat there and watched it.  WOW!

I may have to ask one of you to guide the visit to the Zona Rosa, everytime I step out the door of the hotel I get turned around.  I{m completely disorieted.  (it doesn{t help that the damn streets run every which way, and most major intersections have cars coming at you from 6 different directions).  (Did I mention Jan lost her damn shoe in the middle of one of these intersections?  I did the rational thing and kept running for my life, when I got to the other side I looked around and she wasn{t there.  I turned around and there she was, standing in the middle of the street trying to get her shoe back on with cars zooming all around her.   >:()

RAB

Who hates this keyboard, cause nothing is where it{s supposed to be.  and I can{t figure out how to make the apostrophe work to save my life.  BUT  I DID FIND THE LIQUOR STORE!   ;D

Coming from Kentucky (where liquor is our birthright), finding the liquor store is essential!  RAB...have you decided whether or not we can consume ice, at least at our hotel?  I can rough it without ice... but it seems so primitive.  Of course, there is always beer (cervesa as they call it down there.)

I am doing my best to pack lightly... never easy!  Of course, I must make room for all of my electronic gadgets (and more importantly, their adapters!)

Getting very excited now about greeting you all on Wednesday!

I have used the hotel ice.  You have to order it from room service though (no cost, just a tip)

Did you ask if the ice is made with purified water (i.e. water safe for American tourists?)  I had a bad bout of margaritas in Tijuana once and have never forgotten how sick I got...doing my best to avoid a repeat of that catatstrophe.

Still packing.....

Hey Gary

You bet your sweet bippy I asked, several times. ::)  The hotel claims they have their own purification system, and so far, I am still alive.  So I feel confident in saying the ice is safe, but I have to admit I have yet to drink from the tap.
