I had the best time last night. Spoke to some interesting people. Then, on my way home, randomly stopped by a yard party; gave all the straight boys good advice on how to talk to girls -- they were lamenting their un-laid status. It was fun.

This is the only version of Paul Evans's "Happy-Go-Lucky Me" I could find online.

I've brushed death too many times to not realize that each day is a gift.  Even on my AIDS days, they are still relatively speaking, great.  When I die I want my only lament to be that I ran out of time and not out of dreams.

hey AC,
Thanks for the post.
I'm feeling chipper too. It was a clear and crisp winter's morning here, and I stopped by my favourite pastry shop on the way to work for a sour-cherry danish and espresso. It doesn't get much better than this.

Hi there,

Yes, I got brand new contact lenses today, so I'm seeing ever so clearly the trees and the summer blooming flowers all around! Plus, my appointment to get my hair trimmed turned out great...she knew what she was doing, and, get this, she asked for one of my business cards!!

WHOPPEE!

It is also my mom's 89th birthday, along with my older sis......I'm just getting ready to call down south and sing to both of them!!

La de da.

Thanks for an uplifting thread!!

My best,

Zephie

Not just a good day....

A great month!

In nine days, we fly to NYC and I get to spend time with Trish's friends (who I have not met) and family.  THEN We are going to drive upstate and spend the night with her btrother.  THEN, we are headed to Montreal the AMG and an event I have waited a lifetime for.......

THEN...we get to fly to Portland, for for my mom's wedding.  She is 73 and acts like a 20 year old.

Fuckin August ROCKS baby!

It is effing effing cold out. Wind chill readings of 20 below. Woo-hoo!

Therefore: I am not leaving my apartment, going to stay in my PJs, and read old plays all day. Hurray!

And I have Thai leftovers for lunch. Green curry and papaya salad.

And my San Francisco friend sent me some more porn.

A good day!

I AM!!!!  WOOOOHOOOOO!!!  Just a good day, nothing special.  Just feeling great not giving a SHIT about my cooties!  WHOS WITH ME?!?!?!?!

I'm having a better day than many recently -- at least the goddamned sun is out even if the temperature is a glacial 52 degrees (not counting wind chill).

However, AC, maybe it's just me, but my aversion to body lice and such is so great I'll soak in a tub of Kwell for 2 hours if I even see something suspicious.  Just the thought lowers my spirits a tad (so I'll just get more spirits!).

I had a great day today:

It was minus four when I got up and I got little icicle crusties on my mustache, which I think is really cool.
  I completed a customer's general ledger conversion.
I solved a database file system issue that I don't normally handle, so that was really cool.
I had a really great workout where I somehow managed to do both legs and cardio on the same day.

and

I am not the one cooking dinner for a change.  Hooray.

I think you'd need a ticket Queen A.  the chinese are very persnickety about paperwork.  I think it's gonna be a fascinating trip.

I got like 20 weed heads behind the curtain with bongs, so when the room starts getting cloudy, everyone will be getting a contact.....*munchies will be served at intermission*...They will be so high, they will have no choice but love me...World domination, Pinky!

great bong! havent used one of those in years.
I was having a pretty good day till I had a 16 oz Rip It (no sugar) energy drink on top of a starbucks triple shot latte. Got too wired up and made some bad trades.
Not trying to bum anyone out but its a balmy 70 today in Houston and tracy mcgrady is the best freaking basketball player i have ever seen. too much caffeine .

The weather is great, someone paid my coffee, I went to the beach yesterday, a cute guy looked me in the eye, can't complain.
