I've been so happy lately (even though there's all the stuff going on) with student life and having a goal again after many years of believing hiv would be an issue. I'm also very thankful to everyone in this forum, especially Jim. I know all this is very off topic, but i have a really nice song I've been listening while I am writing this.

Lol, never heard of that Boney M tune @Fabio, and can't say that there's any similarities to GK and the Pips in my ears, but to each his own.

Big Yellow Taxi is a classic and that version of Wonderwall is great too but I still prefer the original.

I’m feeling particularly vulnerable lately.

Not sure it’s the usual melancholy that Christmas tends to bring to life or my new medication playing with my brain. Or the end of the year approaching...

Getting my dx and entering in my 50s a couple of years back really opened my eyes to the fact that I won't be here forever. Something I had never really considered before. Trivial as it sounds, yet...

Maybe the typical middle age crisis, on steroids.

Sorry for the macabre tone. Today it goes like this...

Its quite interesting that most people with chronic conditions feel that way during festivities (because we talked about it in nursing school). However, fret not my friend because age is just a number (although im aware of the difficulties of getting old) ,so life is to be enjoyed.
Besides 50 is 2 times 25 😉. Here's a song for you:

Depressed people tend to suffer more during holidays. I've been an involuntarily customer of that bitch for a very long time. She's like an unwanted guest craving attention but if I just ignore her, she retires to her room and I can continue to attend to my stuff. Well, I'm working on it  ;)

Fabio, thank you for your thought, I always read your posts here with pleasure

I do love Bobby Mcferrin and that's one of my fav songs. Will listen to it now  8)

Oh... Many places, more than I can remember. Mostly in the Cyclades islands and Peloponnese: I liked Sifnos, Naxos, Amorgos, Folegandros. I'm takiing 20+ years ago, the places still retained a spark of genuine soul. Don't know now.

Athens, many times. Liked the Akropolis and the national archeological museum. I.was passionate about ancient Greek history and mythology, so fascinating. Forgot everything now :-)

Then the Peloponnese: Epidaurus, Mykenis, Olympia... Paralia beach near Pilos  8) 8)

My memory is so bad, I had to look up places on the map.

We were young, free, healthy, just a backpack and a tent.

Never been to your island but I know it by reputation, must be awesome!

I'm really sorry A2l. Most times I'm quite sad as well when it's Christmas, because its always another year that the people I know keep getting older (I don't mind me getting older),but I do feel quite good this year (ironically, with the state of the world).
I do have finals as a present for the new year too  haha.
Here are some songs, sad and happy (because they both go together in life).
P.s. I really like the last 2 songs.
