I was taking Sustiva for three years and had emotional problems that became increasingly worse.  I wasn't "depressed" but very withdrawn and agitated all of the time.  Anti depressants made the situation even worse.  I stopped taking Sustiva two weeks ago and switched to Reyetaz regimen.  The emotional issues ceased within 2 days after stopping the Sustiva.  I'm able to socialize and actually laugh again.  Anyone else have these issues with Sustiva?   ???

My two cents:  I had constant skin chills, head, back, shoulders. I had burning in my arms. I could get anxious by the end of a work day.  Most of this dissappeared after 2 or 3 days changing to Reyataz.  Though now my feet hurt....
Otherwise I felt strong on both drugs, and had normal digestion.

My doctor wants to change reyataz, Norvir and Truvada due to side effects, fat deposit lower neck, fatty belly, big boobs, no buttocks, no hips, thin arms and legs. I have been on this for 2yrs, my CD4 is 568  and undectable virus.
He suggests that he puts me on Sustiva(stocrin).
Has anyone been on this comb. Is it a good comb? What the waste experiences side effects?

You can find experts to give you specifics on lipo and combos.  Reyataz is supposed to be less lipo causing than older PIs.  But the Norvir boost may negate that advantage of reyataz.  The combo is new so the research on its lipo effects is new.  Your reported lipo on the combo is discouraging, and I hope you find a good solution to stop the lipo.  Lots of people have great results with stocrin/susitiva (same drug) and truvada. So hopefully it will work for you, too! Good luck.

:)thanks Mech for the reply. I think the medicines that caused Lipo is the medicine i was taking before Reyataz, Norvir and Truvada. I was on Trizivir before.
I will keep on searching to how i will stop/treat this Lipo. It seems that most people who are on HIV combo are experiencing these Lipo problems.
Hope a solution will be found soon.
Merry Xmas to ALL

Agreed.  I'd stick with your current regimen -- it's considered very lipo friendly.

Is there a link between LIPO problems and lack of exercise/poor diet?
