Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Should I worry

Hi I am abit worried, after a girl give me a hand job, and blow job. That's all that happened. Until I ejaculated, now I'd not worry normally. Just there was a small cut on my penis and that's why I'm worried.

Do I need to be concerned over this ?

Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection and neither is mutual masturbation. Cuts do not matter.

Hi i am really worried about this, The thing is i stayed with a girl last night, but we didn't have sex or anything, just she was on her period, and she had put her hand down my boxers and started to wank me for about a minute. (sorry for been blunt) but when we woke up there was blood on her pajama bottoms.

So i am really worried if any was on her had and then came into contact with my penis.

Do i need to worry over this ?

Now, about your latest concern. You are worrying needlessly. HIV is a fragile virus. Sexually the only confirmed means of transmission are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. It is not passed in the manner you are concerned about, not even if she had gotten some of her blood directly on to your penis.

There's no need for testing nor for further concern. To protect yourself from HIV sexually all you need to do is always without exception use a condom every time you have vaginal or anal intercourse. It really is that simple.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

You are worrying needlessly. "Contact" with blood is very different from an unprotected penis inside a vagina or an anus. You did not have a risk. Period.

Thank you every one for all your replies.

I have a few more questions if you don't mind as i am really worried.

I had PROTECTED sex a number of times with the same women, but i had noticed some cuts on the inside of my thighs right by my groin area, like in between the scrotum and leg, (sorry for the detail) So what i am worried about is if some vaginal fluid had got onto these cuts. as some did get on my scrotum.

i am not sure how the cuts are there, maybe from exercise with friction as i do karate and have to kick alot so maybe from that.

Another question is i had cuts on my hands to very small, but i am worried about that as i handled the condom after sex.

Should i worry about any of these ?

The risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are two and specifically unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. That's it. Use condoms everytime for those and you will be well protected.

And yes, you are worrying unnecessarily. Get on with your life.
