worried about HIV
« on: July 24, 2012, 04:08:11 pm »
hi sir, Thank you for this great website for hiv prevention message.. I am living in qatar. I had sex with a girl from china for the first time in my life. we had two oral sex and two time vaginal intersection sex.. I used male natural latex condom on all time (but did not changed)

1) My first concern is that after having vaginal sex she removed the condom from my penis. and started giving oral sex without condom!! since there is little risk with giving oral sex without condom i am not worring about that act.

but then she wore the same condom. here i dont remember whether she wore the condom corectly or not. (maybe i felt that she reversed the condom and her vaginal fluids or some blood may have come in contact with my head of penis or mucusal membranes) i believe that HIV virus cannot live outside the body but is there any possiblity that it can live in the condom.

2) My second concern is that, I was fingering her vagina but i din't notice that there was a small cut in my finger which was happned 20 hours before. it was a healing cut but the skin was still split and there was no blood coming out is there any possiblity of virus can get into.(This cut happned while chopping the vegetables and it took 7 days to complete cure (hope with this you can estimate the size of the cut)) is it possible to get infected through this cut.

but i had a sign of relief that i picked that girl from a hotel where she gets regular blood check ups and she had done before 2 months and result was negative. but i am still worried that if she has done that check up in her window period.

after this i felt weakness for 3 days and had 'fever like symptoms(my body tempreture was 37 degrees but my normal body tempreture is 36.7)' followed by cold and cough with phlegm for 14 days sometimes i was feeling very weak those days!! but no sign of swallon lumph nodes, diarrhea and night sweats.

since my mind says there is no chances of infection but when i research on internet i loose my confidence. I am going back to my home country after three months. and i am planning to take the hiv test there and its not wise to take the test in this country (since the laws of country is very strict on this part and people who are checked positive are deported instantly. For people on work VISA's are first checked for any STD's and allowed to work here)

3)let me know how accurate is the standard test (which is done for HIV during regular blood checkup) after 3 months? do I need to take other tests for full confirmation?

4)is it neccessary to take test again after 6 months?

5)how long HIV virus survives which is present in vaginal fluid outside the body and over the condom?

6)When does HIV related symptoms start to show up? and the cold and cough which I had for 17 days later after that incident are they related to HIV?

7)I masterbated and ejeculated inside the condom and there was no leakage found but i did not find thoroughly for any breaks in condom is that confirmation sufficient?

8)I am getting married this december do i need to postpone?

Sir please provide me guidence, suggetions and answers for above questions. these questions keep on coming in my mind and here its difficlut for me to share and take advice for these phobias which i have.

I can't even sleep thinking of it.
i am worried!!!

Natural and latex are two different types of condoms.

You never had an exposure. HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

Fingering is not an HIV concern.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug abusers
Mother to child

It doesn't matter if you had a cut, abrasion, nicks or a pulled hangnail. HIV is not transmitted by fingering.

zerich,

You absolutely did NOT have a risk for hiv infection. Not one of the activities you engaged in was risky.

You wore a condom for intercourse and that's what's important here. If the condom had broken, you would have known about it. You did NOT have a risk.

If you want to show us your respect, then accept the fact that nothing you did or had done to you was a risk for hiv infection and move on with your life.

Seriously.

like i have many doubts 1)she wore the condom on erect penis then due to sudden anxiety my penis got flaccid so i was still wearing the same condom then she started shaking my penis.. is it possible to break the condom by doing this.. and 2)i still worried about the incident were she took off the condom and started the oral sex and again she wore the same condom, i dont  remember whether she wore it correctly or not i m afraid that if she wore condom in reverse then there is possibility of her vaginal fluid may have come in contact with my penis. 3)atlast i was fingering her vagina and on finger had small cut which hapned previous day.. is it possible tht i can get infected by this...??  :-[ :-[

please tell me anyone of the symptoms which i had is it same like the one which comes during ARS

You never had an exposure and your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.

There is nothing more we can add to what has already been said. The bottom line is that you have not had a risk for HIV.

If you have troublesome symptoms you need to discuss them with your doctor. They have nothing to do with HIV.
