Need support for HIV Medicine in Canada - Toronto
« on: September 02, 2024, 03:57:58 am »
Dear Members,

I am urgently seeking support from anyone in Canada who can assist me in obtaining HIV medication. I have been on ARV treatment since January 2022, and I have been undetectable since November 2022. I recently arrived in Canada as a visitor visa to visit my family, but my medication supply will only last for another 15-17 days.

When I inquired at a drug store, I was informed that the cost for one month's supply is $1,300, which I am unable to afford. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to obtain the medication for free or through any organizations or charities that may offer assistance here in Canada.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Hiya.

I don't know of any programs that will cover the cost of HIV medication for visitors in Canada. There are programs for refugees etc but that's a different story. If someone living in Canada knows more I'm sure they will reply to you.

So you have another 15 days or is it 17 days of meds, how long are you planning to stay and what meds are you taking?
