Drinking Water....
« on: July 22, 2006, 12:12:46 am »
DRINK SOME WATER!!
this is very important...

ABOUT DRINKING WATER

The following will probably amaze and startle you...

One glass of water shuts down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University study.

Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or

Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?

(No kidding, all of the above is true...)

Of course, too much water may have strange side effects (see picture below) ..

Water is a GOOD thing!  A friend of mine ended up in the hospital from dehydration.......it was awful!  PLEASE make sure that we are all drinking A LOT of water during these hot days of summer!

Put a little lemon in it if you don't like water, but drink lots of it!

Drinking enough water has never been an issue for me.  In fact, I think I drink too much, though I've not had the side effects like the chick in the picture (thank god).  I do however use the bathroom very often and I think the people with cubes near it must think I have problems.  It's not like I have a small bladder either...  I just drink that much.  I love my beverages!

People who drink a lot of water always have the nicest skin...

well, that's not always true -- I drink a lot, and mine looks like an old brown grocery sack, wadded up, then unfolded.....

Problem is, I inherited my Mother's skin...fair, and thin.   Great for a woman, not so great on a man.

I also keep the bathroom frequently occupied at work.......

Another hint for the "water hater".  Those little Crystal Light To Go packets are pretty good.  You just dump one in a bottle of water and off you go.  I can't do just plain water.  BLECK!!!

Or you could try, water, a lot of lemon and stevia.

AlanBama -  I'm not so sure about the water trick for the skin either.

Mammaries light the corners of my mind ...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I need more water, preferably administered by a water boy.

Is it near the full moon again?

HUGS,

Stevia is a plant leaf from the tropics that sweetens things.  It doesn't have any/few calories and is natural.  People mainly use it for teas or to spruce up water.  You can get it at any natural foods coop, Whole Foods or at some grocery stores.
