Hi Milo, welcome to the forums.

Has your positive hiv test been confirmed with further antibody and Western Blot testing, or did you only have a positive result on a rapid test? Until you've had confirmatory testing, you are not considered to have been diagnosed with hiv.

Can you give us more details about your diagnosis? Thanks.

Ann

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

As a 20 year old that has it... don't worry Milo! Things will turn out okay. I am in university, work in the music industry, and attend classes like all of the other students. I hang out with friends and go to parties (where I monitor how much I drink to save my liver)... just like any normal 20+ year old would do. You will be able to live a normal life and accomplish great things if you put your mind to it!

But first like Ann said.. how were you diagnosed?
