Will missing Norvir doses alone cause resistence?

I'm having problems getting my Norvir refill completed, and am looking at being without it for over a week. Will missing this "booster" PI cause me to possibily become resistent to my overall regimen, or is it just making it less effective?? Thanks for any info....
