Studying in Germany and HIV treatment

Hi
I am planning to move to Germany (from outside of EU) for the masters degree.
As far as I understood, since I am over than 30 y o, I won't be able to follow the regular route of obligatory joining in the public health insurance system.

What are the options to receive adequate HIV treatment in Germany for me?
Private insurance as far as I understood (and I may be wrong) will not cover HIV treatment.
Shall I be ably to opt into public insurance company voluntarily and what will be the costs?

hi there. Well check this https://www.tk.de/tk/faq/s-english/students-from-abroad/199676  You may write them to see what can be done. If you have to go to the private system they will ask for HIV status ...
