Sanitex, the only thing I can advise you to do is to see your doctor.

Betty is right Sanitex, we would really do you a disservice diagnosing over the internet. Keep working with your doctor for the answer.

Sanitex,

The only thing any of us can tell you is to see your doctor, the sooner the better. An unexplained fever lasting that long MUST be checked out by a doctor, in person.

you should rush to the Dr. or emergency room
any time there is a fever and you are hiv and it is over 101 then get to  Dr. or emergency room
asap
esp. if you are over 40 or 50
i just read a study that said that good outcomes for retired elderly people who have pneumonia -- well basically if they get to hospital with in first hours of a fever they have a almost perfect chance of living thru it

but if they wait even a few hours more the bacterias grow exponentially and many of them -- well a higher % end up dying from what otherwise would be a simple thing to treat with antibiotics

that is one huge huge advantage to being in the 90% of the world where there is NO GATE KEEPER to a human getting antibiotics 24x7

basically all of south central america, mexico, all of asia and africa
if you have a bug you walk in and 5 min later you are getting better

in the "advanced countries"
like usa
if you can get thru co pays and finally get to see someone dozens of hours later
then wait in other lines to get the antibiotic

etc

you should rush to the Dr. or emergency room
any time there is a fever and you are hiv and it is over 101 then get to  Dr. or emergency room

I can't stress Ann's advice more! Get to a doctor ASAP.

Sanitex...define "fever" ..are you talking aobut your body temperature? Night Sweats? How high is your fever?  or are you referring to fever as thoughts racing through your mind that you have no answer for? (distress)
