Five drug combo - Is anyone else using it?
« on: May 20, 2007, 05:54:14 pm »
I started a new combination in January 07 that has been great for me so far and was wondering if anyone else is on it?

My combination is Fuzeon, Norvir, Emtriva, Prezista and Etravirine (TMC125)

I would enjoy hearing feedback!
Thanks,

Savor the moments! ::)

Savor

I'm not on the exact same combo, but I am on a 5 drug combo.

Mine is:  Fuzeon, Kaletra, Invirase, Epivir, and Viread.

Like yours is for you, the above combo is working great for me (and has been since Dec. 03)!

(Who will probably change the Fuzeon out when Merck's new inhibitor becomes available.)

Edit to add:  Maybe this should have been posted in the treatment forum?

We need to stop using the term "Salvage Treatment".

I have been positive now for almost 19 years, on meds for almost 16.

My prior combo was a 4-Drug-Combo.....Kaletra, Epivir, Agenerase and Viread which was slowly failing....I was resistant to most current HIV drugs making new combo's for me not possible until TMC125 became available. I've been on it for 5 months and have had very little side effects for me mainly the Fuzeon (Injection site issues).
So far so good, one day at a time....

I'm on five:  fuzeon, prezista, norvir and truvada (which is actually viread and emtriva combined).

I've been on this for exactly one year, and currently have +973 cd4's, 42.3%, undetectable VL.

I've been on continual HIV meds for 14 years.
