Probably of no interest to anyone bit I'm going to share my little bit of trivia wether you like it or not...

:

"The word Fuck was coined by Shakespeare in 1582 when he was writing the Comedy of Errors. Upon finishing the play he realized that he had only included sex in the plot and no death (immenent death, but not death itself.) so when Shakespeare exclaimed "Oh fuck! This is supposed to be a tragedy, but no one dies he realized his genius in discovering a new word, Shakespeare revised the Comedy of Errors to say "fuck" in place of sex. The word "Fuck" is used 1993 times in The Comedy of Errors. This is how "Fuck" came to be used in modern English".

Also the word it's self is derived from the ancient hebrew "Phaahk" meaning "to be in need of a women'...hear endeth the lesson on the word F*ck..

Your telling reminds me of a story my dad told me once (once I was grown, that is) about the origins of the phrase “You’ve got to be shitting me.”

Remember the tale (and the painting) of George Washington crossing the Delaware River during the American Revolution? It wasn’t entirely successful. The man on the front of the boat, Samuel Peters (the one in the painting with his leg stuck out forward to push the ice chunks out of the way) actually got his leg crushed and then fell overboard before the crossing was completed.

Once the company made landfall (which was in the dark, contrary to the artist’s rendering) the first lighted habitat they came to happened to be a house of prostitution. When General Washington knocked on the door to ask for shelter and reconstitution, the lady of the house could hardly believe her luck in this hard time of war. She asked Washington, “How many are you?”

He answered her, “We are thirty-two men without Peters,” to which she replied:

“You’ve got to be shitting me!”
